Figured out last week that even the aftermarket window switches had the wrong style bezel on them. Only when the single came and saw it was different did I figure it out. Had to order the correct one for the double switch and change it. It is the only way I found it so far.
This sure is one bada$$ rig. Very nice job on the rebuild.

Hard to believe it was 28 years ago yesterday I bought my blazer and I still have it.
Started changing out all these GM nos parts.
Today I hope to finish fight the new windshield and gasket install.

Hey Teck, you don't happen to know the O2 thread size do you? I need to weld in some bungs but gotta order them first. Using the factory '05 sensors from the Suburban. I see a lot of 18mm x 1.5 on eBay
Nope got one last year for way less then that. But still haven't put it on because now I'm worried about it getting messed up.
No I'm not sure the bungs came in the collectors. I just order o2 sensors for an '07
Finally got the new tailgate band installed. The old one was starched and had 2 small dents in it.
Also found some issues with the inside handle, that that are causing it not to unlatch the tailgate, not sure if I can fix it or will need to find a new handle/ latch.

Hey Teck, I am just looking for clarification. You put LEDs in once and they were not bright enough so you changed to brighter LEDs? Is the first set of pics with regular bulbs or the lower power LEDs?
this is with the chrome paint too correct?
That is with new regular bulbs in there I never put lower level LED and yes that is with the chrome paint. The picture is with the bright white LEDs they are the brightest ones I could get.
Have issues with the tailgate handle not pulling the rods enough to open the tailgate. I think the handle is messed up/ bent to much to fix. Anyone have a good used one for sale.
I can pull the rod and it will open. I think I have adjusted every thing I can to make it work, it work with the tailgate down but will not release when I close it. Cann't find anything that is putting it in a bind.

Hey Teck, were you able to retain your cruise control with your 5.3 swap?
No not at the time I had it wired, they said it would not work. Don't remember why. Have not check again to see if it is possible. You would think it should be simple to do with a genIV drive by wire. Should all be done by the computer. Must be something about the controls don't send the correct communication to the computer. I would think someone would make an adaptor to make it work. Need to look in to that again.
