And @LNielson, the simulations are really neat. What was the software you used?
and no I don't have my own seat of it.Thanks, It is very cool stuff. That software is the Solidworks Simulation Package. I am an engineer by day. We do a lot of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for people. The models I made/analyzed for those winch mounts were way simplified, but I use it a lot like that to get a gut check on stuff just to see if things are in the ballpark structurally. I'm going to do a few more different ones and post them up, just haven't had time.
We use a program called Nastran that we use for serious analysis, but it takes a bit of time to set stuff up correctly and run it. also costs about $50K per licenseand no I don't have my own seat of it.
