So...

Thoughts on running 2 separate cross member (or a 2 piece that unbolts) vs a solid, all mounting unit?

I get the rigidity and strength of a one piece. Being able to remove each section without usin 2 floor jacks seems appealing, as a separate member would hold up each piece in front
 
On the fence really.

Might use the factory under the 465, and sections for each tcase

If its of use for you I have the crossmember from the jimmy sitting in the garage you are welcome to have. Not sure of the differences in the frames but might be a good starter. Let me know if you want it and I can get it to you.

Besides the picture, yes. I owned a first gen K5 for many years
I think I can make something useful out of that

Or at least get it out of Duane's garage
 
That is all I have. A stock crossmember. I think people get unnecessarily carried away with doubler cross members.
