Bwahaha!

Nothing with the hole saws. The TBI body is a Holley unit, about 150 CFM bigger than a stock

Thoughts on running 2 separate cross member (or a 2 piece that unbolts) vs a solid, all mounting unit?

I get the rigidity and strength of a one piece. Being able to remove each section without usin 2 floor jacks seems appealing, as a separate member would hold up each piece in front

I don't mind fabricating stuff, but these can be drastically over thought

I used three oem crossmembers and have a skid that crosses all three.

If its of use for you I have the crossmember from the jimmy sitting in the garage you are welcome to have. Not sure of the differences in the frames but might be a good starter. Let me know if you want it and I can get it to you.

Besides the picture, yes. I owned a first gen K5 for many years
I think I can make something useful out of that

That is all I have. A stock crossmember. I think people get unnecessarily carried away with doubler cross members.
