You'll want to get one made for the short box, one for an 8' would hang way too far off the back I would imagine.
Towing would need an extension for the hitch. And that can get sketchy towing weight. Stick with a short bed camper.
Exactly why I don't want mine to go past my tailgate.
Got it. I'll keep my eyes open. We used an extension with the long bed but I want it to be as safe as possible
I enjoy being able to shut my tailgate behind mine. Although my F250's tailgate is bowed which may be why that's possible
This is my 8' in a 6.5' bed...airbagged rear, not completely necessary but very helpful...total weight is 7800 as it sits.
picked it for 1600...not a cherry, but its what I want for the 76CC dually.
It's been patched up in a few places, looks like it may have been damaged some and repaired, but it's water tight, refreshed interior, furnished bedding, fridge stove oven a/c furnace stool, outside shower....all work
I unloaded it in the barn on 4 sawhorses (2500lb/pair), much more stable than the jacks on the corners! Those made me nervous.
So one of my jacks don't pump up, maybe I need to check the fluid/bleed the cylinder?

That looks clean. And I paid that for my 97 3 years ago.
Sweet! I talked to the guy and he said he is the second owner, has all the manuals, and it is in like new condition. He said it's too much camper for his half ton truck.
And he has a tow hitch extender he will include with the sale.
@ktmoutfront are there any common problems with this model? Is yours the same one?
