The farm truck.

Been working a lot on getting this ready to move to Utah. About a 6-7 hr drive and I'll be towing another truck down. Painted the bed with black tractor paint. Installed all new led lights on the bed and all new wiring. New mud flaps. New led lights in the front bumper to replace the broken ones and wired in a 7 way rv plug and a brake controller. The front bumper lights are the best I could rig up for now. I was gonna weld in the factory holes and do the grommet mount lights but I just used the bolt on brackets for now. They really need to be angled up more to be seen better. I think she's ready to go. 20171008_104223.jpg 20171008_131758.jpg 20171008_172459.jpg 20171008_172525.jpg 20171008_131741.jpg 20171008_172535.jpg 20171008_131749.jpg 20171008_104408.jpg 20171008_131824.jpg 20171008_172543.jpg 20171008_132205.jpg 20171008_131808.jpg 20171008_172507.jpg

What kind of flasher is it?
I just told Napa I needed a flasher for an '81 Chevy and that's what came up. Part number is in first pic. He checked the specs on it and it said led compatible. I had a problem with the right side not working with the headlights on after doing all the led lights and the flasher fixed it.

What an idiot. When did they put a square flasher in an early chevy.
Lol.
Anyway I have tried three flashers with no luck on my stepside with LEDs. Still looking for the problem.

We used to have the good electronic style ones with the little circuit board at the IH truck dealer I worked at. Any good truck shop or truck stop that does all the fancy led chicken lights like peterbilt should have a good one that would work for you I bet.

The whole thing is going to get a complete rewire anyway, I figure it out then.

Used this to haul down my Mazda pickup when we moved from Idaho to Utah. Ran great most of the way then it started to backfire and surge and finally died on the side of the freeway. It wasn't getting fuel. Managed to pour some in the carb and get it running and made it about 15 miles farther and into an auto parts store. Replaced the pre-pump inline fuel filter and rubber hose. Started up the canyon to go about 65 miles over the mtns and had issues again right away. Ended up sticking the trailer on my wife's 2008 Yukon xl denali and had her tow it. I could drive ok at light throttle up to about 55 mph, anything more and it would surge and backfire. Worked on it this weekend and replaced the fuel pump that didn't look to be very old. Pulled the little filter out of the front of the carb and it was all ballooned up and I popped the end cap off and inside was pretty dang dirty. Installed a new one and used it to haul some stuff this weekend and it ran great. Prob drive it to work a few times and then it's gonna go up for sale due to my newer tow rig I recently got.

Get that farm thinned out. You have a Moab schedule
Yep I definitely aint missing Moab anymore. My buddy I used to wheel with down there is waiting for me to come down also.
If I absolutely cannot sell this I may pillage the big block for the blazer(gasp) and the flatbed for my new ferd. I did see some place selling a complete 4x4 suspension conversion kit on the Facebook the other day for these trucks.

Breaking down brings the suck, nice roadside repair skills.

Didn't you just move to Rigby a few months ago? Where are you at now?
