The headache build..

Not really, money has been flying out out my pockets for credit card payments and "other things". Plus, I have been busy working on other people's projects. Hopefully, I start buying parts this thing soon.

Can't wait to see it running again.....those videos of a fullsize Chevy ripping across the sand like that give me a funny tingly feeling.

:usaflag:

I hope things fall into place and allow you guys to finish it by the end of summer, we have a trip planned for late July to early August.
I almost ended up in your neck of the woods this weekend. Our trip to the mountains fell through since the road we need to use to get to the trail-head has 4 feet of snow on it but I decided to take my gas money and re-deck the trailer instead. :)

I was hoping to get started on the frame at the beginning of this month. I bought a set of DIY4x boxing plates for the front. I'm waiting for some dimple dies so I can dimple the plates so we can start welding on the frame.
I got some other (people's) projects done and I'm getting more. I just started helping somebody with a first gen blazer that is getting a near clone of my motor. he got the same heads, a little more compression, a little less cam, but no nitrous. It probable going to put out the same amount power as my motor without nitrous (670/700 hp). Today we were setting up second gen motor mounts and an Offroad Design cross member in his frame.
Hopefully, we will get the back to my blazer soon.

New pistons are ordered and may get a new (bigger) cam. We are aiming for 800hp on the motor and I have bought a 500hp nitrous fogger. Don't forget we are doing this Trickflow's 280 oval port heads.

We have no doubt you can build butt loads of power... the real question is what are you going to do about the frame? :deal:

:D

My engine builder makes buttload of power. I'm just along for the ride.
I'm letting somebody work on the frame. I don't have the room or the time to work on it.
I was told the frame was getting bead blasted today. Hopefully, I get some pictures of how it turned out sometime this month. Once I get the frame back, I'm going to start putting her back together.

Cool, so you guys just planning on boxing it and maybe a simple cage to keep it from twisting so bad?

We are ready have removed the old frame from the blazer months ago.
A pic of my nephew's friends and me with the old frame.
Kids these days:dunno:

I've a 1/2 a boxing kit from DIY4x, but it look like we won't be able to use it. The guy who is boxing the frame has a plasma table and he is just going to make new ones. As to why we are not using the DIY4x kit is because we want the plates to go inside the channel. We would have to trim a 1/8 to a 1/4 off the DIY4x plate to work plus I want to dimple die the plates. It was just going to easier for him make new ones.

So there are 6 people in that picture, which one is you?

The one in back, behind ghetto boy, the one with the long shirt on?

Yes, that is me in the long shirt.
Ghetto boy...:doah:
sigh, words can't describe him. I think that was the only time I've met the boy that I remember, and he leave didn't leave much of impression.

Edit, even with all these people, it was a pain to get the body off.

Just gathering parts for it now. I now have fiberglass hood and fenders. I bought the stuff used. Saw the frame last week. The guy cut a test piece but it wasn't right. Poured block filler in my block a month ago and the block is back at the machine shop.
I pressed out the rubber bushings out new (used) set of rear springs. Turns out the spring I got used the 1.75 bushings. All I have are the 1.5 bushings.:doah: I'm waiting to see if I need something else before I make a order. Trying to decide where to buy the bushing from.

Not much of a update, but here are some pics of frame.
