The headache build..

I'm such an idiot. I decided to do some simple wiring to the fuse block since I had it for a few months.
When I first got the fuse box, I tested the lay out with some relays and fuses. Turns out it was wrong because I tested it without terminals. When I installed the terminals, I found out my layout is wrong. My initial plan was to run six relays and twelve fuses. I needed more but that was a start. Turns out I could run 8 relays but only 6 fuses. I could run 7 relays, but the missing relay would only gain me two more fuses. Might as well run 8 relays. 20160418_192242.jpg 20160418_192328.jpg

Hoping, but there is a lot of work to do. I was hoping to get the dash in, but my friends welder is giving him trouble. I going to work on the wiring a bit.

I moved my neutral safety switch from my Art Carr shifter to the Turbo Action. Turbo Action usually come already equipped with a NSS, but I bought mine used so the shifter didn't have it. Plus the NSS mounts mounts in front of the shifter on brackets that mount the shifter on the floor. I took the brackets off since it interfere with my mounting brackets. On a Art Carr/Winters, the NSS usually mounts on top of the rail that holds the cable, but that is where the air shifter mounts. Then in a moment of brilliance, I figured I could mount the NSS on the bottom of the rails. I drilled the rails for the hardware and mounted the NSS. I thought I was golden till I tried to shift the shifter. Turns out the cable was binding on the top of the NSS due the arc of the shifter arm. In a brave moment, I cut a groove on the top of the NSS with a ball endmill, and it no longer binds.

I mounted my Trans brake switch on the outside of the mounting brackets.2016-07-09 12.16.38.jpg

Then I made another bracket for another switch. In a moment of OCD. I mounted in line with the Trans brake button. 2016-07-09 12.23.41.jpg 2016-07-09 12.24.08.jpg 2016-07-09 12.24.33.jpg

I had a problem with the lights on one of my switches. The switch in question was supposed to turn on the water pump on the up andbottom position. The fan on the top position. I have the fan wired though a relay which is wired switch to ground. The water pump is also though a relay but switch to positive. I did that so the internal lights in the switch would work.
Problem is both lights turn on. I could rewire the switch and fan relay, but the fan relay is weather proof relay with pull to seat terminals. Basically have to cut the terminals off to fix it. It was easier to wire in some diodes. 2016-08-20 21.42.54.jpg 2016-08-20 21.41.46.jpg 2016-08-20 21.43.57.jpg

Installest some lights on the bottom of the switch box. Problem was the switch box had 1 inch holes I could only find 3/4 lights. Made some adapters on the lathe. 2016-08-20 22.07.16.jpg 2016-08-19 11.50.08.jpg 2016-08-19 11.49.48.jpg
