The headache build..

I wouldn't, your pattern at .050 is off the tooth to the top, pinion is to far out.

Fix your backlash with the .060 and check that pattern, you are getting close.

Looking better for sure!

I think you will end up somewhere close to this. Check your backlash with this .060 pack then run another pattern, I think you are going to have to go back up a wee bit from here, good job man.
I had corrected the back lash once, but phone ran out of memory. I erased some of photos to clear some up. I go back to it.
Edit, by "back up" you mean to add more shim?

Yes possibly, once you fix that backlash to get the pattern centered front back, it will be easier to tell.

I think i'd try to open up the backlash just a hair to push that pattern more into the center of the tooth. Then re-evaluate pinion shim.

Try adding a couple thousandths to your pinion stack. It's looking pretty good to me.

Hmm, I haven't updated since I fixed the front end.
Well, I took it to a test and tune early November. It first time running both kits. We left the first stage alone and loaded the small tune in the second. Ran my fastest pass at 4.015 Et at 81 mph in 300". Just shy of the 3 sec barrier.
However, we found the oil pan we installed has problems and the oil pressure was dropping to 10 psi. We pulled the motor and install new bearings. We are currently waiting for the new oil pan.
