The Jaws K5 Blazer

Is your interior original...upholstery and stuff...if not, where did you get it...from what I can tell it looks "correct". You definitely got correct mirrors.

I can't picture it. Is it in Oak Bluffs?

These directions don't mean anything to me, but here they are...apparently the family of Jay Mellow who played Sean in the first movie is owner.

From Mahoney's Garden Center, turn onto County Road.
Approximately .8 miles on the right is a tan post with 464R on the side. Take the dirt road and follow it all the way to the cul de sac...there you are!!

The truck came from california so was completely rust free but the interior was toast. I just bought stuff on ebay. The rear seat is original but the fronts where redone. Not happy with them but its really just a summer beach truck. Its on the lift as we speak trying to counter attack the effects of the salt water.

Thats too funny. Yeah I know county rd. everything is down a dirt rd there it seems. You will find it easy trust me. Its not a bad island to navigate.

Oh..you bet it is, and this is going to be one our best summers ever....and those beaches will be open"....~ Mayor Larry Vaughn cir. 1975

Edgartown is very nice. Oak bluffs is only a few minutes away and has great night life too. Ive had a lot of friends stay at the wesley in oak bluffs. Pretty reasonable and across from all the bars

Brody, you got anymore pictures of that green K5?

That truck is beautiful but when I saw this picture I had to cringe. The guys that restored this K5 obviously knew what they were doing. Why go to all of that detailed effort to just bail at the end and stick what looks like a Chevrolet logo off an S-10 or something on the tailgate? Even one of the emblems from a '76 - '80 would look better than that.

No kidding.

I'm just a nitpicker so here's what else I've found wrong with it (other than what I've seen has already been discussed):
  • The Blazer is a '75, the Jaws Blazer would have been a '73 or '74. They put the older trim on the outside front.
  • The woodgrain on the door panels is the burlwood used exclusively in '75-'76. Since the K5 is a '75 that's most likely why.
  • The dashboard woodgrain panel is from a '77. Wrong woodgrain again and wouldn't have been a Scottsdale.
  • The seats seem correct but the new upholstry is a bit off. Looks too new. Missing some stitching accents.
  • Center console is incorrect, it's a '78 and up console with the cup holders.
  • The gauge bezel is too new. It's from a '78-'80.
Other than that it looks very well done.

I'm looking at this image real close and it looks like they put a little gold bowtie on the outside of the locking hub. Perhaps to match the rear hubcap. Never seen that done before. I honestly can't say if I'm sure it's factory or not. Have to see a better pic or in-person. My K5 came stock with these hubcaps and I didn't have bowties on my lockouts
