The life, death, and rebirth of my K5 Build.

Yeah, I'm not gonna let the assholes and scumbags of the world ruin my build..I'll just get better things to replace what they take, But I wouldn't mind if they got aids and died, slowly of course. hah

Update March 30th

Hey guys,
I got my edelbrock stuff in, very happy with it. started the install, 2" body lift is on, come monday i'm hoping to have the install wrapped up, get my electrical troubles wraped up, and tuesday she should be up and running, I'll get some pics monday. I got a couple questions, with my electrical, I haven't gotten to go over it yet, to run my truck, I have to run a wire from the distributor to the battery, if not the truck will turn over, but will not run, but it runs fine when using the wire, any ideas what the problem could be? i'm going to go over the wiring completely, does anyone have a wiring diagram or anything? Another question, with the edelbrock 600, do I need to purchase a special adapter for the kick down cable? i'm gonna try and rig it up, the person who stole my carb, ripped the kickdown cable end off, i'm gonna crimp something onto the cable so I can hook it up, I'll keep you guys updated, by friday I hope to have it running, alligned, and flatbedded home, then the real fun begins hah..

Thanks!
Jack

Tuesday May 29

Well, I kinda went backwards in build, but I feel it was needed to have my truck how I want it. So my build kinda turned into a frame up rebuild...After taking the body off by myself, I found a whole bunch of rust, rusty gas lines, a leaking gastank, and more rust! sitting for 15 years does that I guess..but it still only has 67k original miles. Anyway...got everything almost finished, need to order body mounts, gas line, ect. and then its on to the body, which i'm not looking forward too. Anyway...heres the pics, sorry for ones that suck, i'm not a photo guru...hah

Untill I get more work done. and buy some more stuff..then i'll update..graduating june 8th. so hopefully soon.

So i've decided that this truck will not be wheeled, it has alot of sentimental value to me, and my goal is to bring it to a like new truck quality, so I can keep it as it was my grandma and grandpaps. I will pickup a beater for wheeling, I just can't see myself doing all this work, and beating it up. During the time building this truck and all the obsticals i've had to deal with, I'd like to keep this truck to remember it all. So thanks everyone for the help, and the comments. And feel free to give me your opnions.
