The Misfit K5 build

Just for reference, im running a 31x10.5 15 tire and from tread to fender there is 9 inches.. 8 in the rear.. thats not normal right???

Yup that looks about normal for a stock K5

ah dang, i guess im just to used to seeing 33's on it..

I wonder if i can get it down a little without any major mods.

I just want to fill that gap a little bit. :dunno:
 
I dont normally like to tint my tails anymore, but these 20+ year tails look haggard so i figured i would give them a new look until i get some new oems

If you wanted to lift the rear about 1-2 inches what would be my best costly lift?

Nah, just wanted to get the rear even with the front, its 1 inch lower.

as for lowering, iv casted all those thoughts into the can, to much trouble.

On another annoying note, i think my starter is going out, it seems to start ok the first time, drove to the store, go to start it in the parking lot and it cranks and cranks and if and when it finally starts i hear something winding down, kinda like a draw out buzzing, pretty sure its the starter and i also get a burning smell in the cab.. this has happened twice since last night. debating on driving it again until i can figure out what the problem is, dont want to be stranded somewhere.

reposting this ^ to make sure it gets seen. man, i just replaced the starter, plugs, wires, fuel pump on my s10 4x4, now this crap. o well. its expected i guess.
 
Buy an autozone starter. Lifetime warranty and they work just fine

i read a post during my searching on this subject were you were talking about the autozone one. :) thats where i got the s10 starter when i replaced that one.

Best starter for the price imo. Never had to shim one either
 
Looks like it was just the battery that was causing the problems, the way it was cranking it seemed like it wasnt getting enough juice, so figured id take that to napa and get it tested before i started tearing crap off the motor, their machine said it needed to be replaced, lucky for me it was a napa battery and they gave me a new one for 30 bucks, put it on starts pretty good now.

lucked out today, i hope my luck keeps up. :whistle:
