The new shop. Progress.

Raining all day today, so I have been inside reorganizing the shop. Had a power flicker. I think it screwed up all of my LED bulbs. They randomly blink. One half on each bulb. If I turn the lights off and on, it will be about 2 minutes before this starts back up.

$780 in bulbs to replace.

45k hours my ass.

Disco gave me a headache then also. I almost can not be in the shop. The manufacurer is going to call me back. Yeh, right. She said they have a 5 year warranty. I hope they honor it.

You know you jinxed this. You told me yesterday they worked fine and weren’t voltage sensitive

I have not been impressed with led bulbs for shops, lamps or floods. Even the led dome lamp I put in burb sucks, no more illumination than an incandescent.
Only a few of the bulbs I used in lamps and fixtures have lasted more 3 years. I have stopped buying them.
We did just replace a 4' double tube florescent fixture in our laundry room with an $80.00 led fixure. Time will tell.
I definitely need better lighting in my shop, but not sure how to improve for car repair purposes.
I do use led work lights, I have several ATD Saber lights some are 7 plus years old and are just now starting to need battery replacement. Dropped one yesterday and it broke a connection on pcb board not sure I can fix it. Amazon wants $97.00 for it, ouch.
Hope they stand behind your lamp Wade, gonna suck not being able to use your shop

I put 4’ LED’s in my barn in 2016, none have burnt out yet.
The ceiling fans have LED’s I leave on 24-7, still burning on low light mode.
I have nothing bad to say about them
Good luck with the warranty Wade!

You could potentially file a claim with your local utility. Might be hard to prove but it could work.

You said it was raining, was there lightning?

Doesn’t homeowners usually cover damage from lightening strikes? I know they replaced my neighbors TV and computer last year

Commercial building on a commercial lot. Home owners won't cover it. Our business insurance covers theft and fire type of stuff.
