not sure on your year, but the later ones have a main grd up under the dash to the left side... on the inside of the a-pillar.. it's a funky 6 male spade connector bolted to the sheetmetal.... about even with the cluster all the way to the left...
Well, the ground WIRES under the dash all splice together in the wiring harness and hook to the body to a screw above parking brake pedal.
edit-Ryoken beat me to it. except I don't think the early blazers had the 6 spade thing. Just an eyelet on the wire.
Did you clean the eyelets?
An intermediate problem. Those are tough to solve. I would suspect the dash plug, but double check everything. Did you tighten the screw for the grounds or you just set finger tight and forgot to tighten with a wrench?

.If it were me, and this is just me, I would stick with the blue and white paint scheme, get you that roll bar with the flashing lights up top, get some stock hubcaps/wheelcovers, paint "AMITY POLICE DEPT." on the doors, and call it a day.Thanks...I intend to get it as close to the Brody Blazer as possible. Some things I am already seeing will have to be a comprimise until down the road...
