I have known what it was for a bit.
Figured that, can see a lot of inside jokes from you guys.
I didn't know it was a 406, thought it might be a 383 but I knew he wouldn't drop from a 350 to a 305 either way, that would be crazy talk.
Always go the biggest cubes the engine configuration/chassis/budget allow.
Its common occurrence in our family to under rate stuff. My brother once bought an 800 snowmobile, and put 600 stickers on it, then proceeded to tell everyone he ran he only changed one thing, but no one could guess it, was hilarious.
Mark, I bet you are itchin' to get that thing back to the track, such a fun ride!

I had a 440 Kawasiki Jet Ski that did 80MPH at the drag races. It might have been sporting a ported, polished, cranked, tuned exhaust and carbed 660. Looked stock. I friend tried to ride it, Laid down to take off. It blew his shorts off and made him scream like a girl. I laughed really hard that day.

305's are BADASS! If by badass, you mean you can drive it home in 1st gear, flat on the floor, and it never blows up! Cam just goes flat after running it out of oil too many times!
There's actually a dirt track class at our local track that runs 305 engines only. They are doing away with it after this season due to a bunch of fighting and stupid racer crap in that class.
