It's a Traxxas Rustler.
It's 2wd, Brushless 3700kv motor...
Tops out in the low 60mph range. :D

Nearly everything is aluminum, all titanium hardware,

'87 Blazer body (custom fitted and painted+ vinyl wrapped.)
Scale 35" BFG Mud Terrain tires. (whats on my real Blazer!)
Beadlock Rims... etc, etc.

Scale BFG's!!!

I had a slash and 2 rustlers. Fun cars.

I wasnt a fan of the alum parts, especially integy.

I had all RPM parts. Things were balls fast on 3s lipos

I bash this one HARDCORE.
So, aluminum in all the right places is important.
Along with titanium screws! :woot:

I bought EVERY part in aluminum, and RPM.
As the aluminum parts snapped, I replaced them w/ RPM's.
Now I have a Super-Solid mix of RPM and STRC/Integy parts.

Still FLIES, too....
Both in the air, and on the ground.

I only run 2S Lipo, atm.
I really have no need for 3S speeds.

wow just notice you were in sac... wereabouts are you? cant say ive seen a n urban camo blazer rollinaround.

and there is always need for the rediculous speed of 3s lipos haha

I live by Fruitridge/99.... South Sac.
I drive this rig everywhere.
My ole lady HATES it... :D

Nice R/C rig :waytogo:, so apparently I am not the only R/C enthusiast on here...makes me feel all warm inside...

Here's my rig, it's a decked out spider cubed XTM X-Factor sitting on some jumbo maxx MT baja claws, the body has seen better days so sometime soon I will put on one of those blazer shells from Proline

I do agree that electric models are nice and user friendly, I own a few myself, but what went wrong with good ole' nitro?:dunno: I do agree that it can be a pain to tune and service, its truly more of an art than a simple task.

and I was good at tuning the truck, friends trucks, etc, for different places we were driving them. It's fun, but I also had a bump starter and no reverse. Nowadays, sh!t is almost on a remote start with reverse. pff:dunno:

:haha:my dad had some old gear like that, lol reminds me of those COX nitros; plain and simple as they get, my X-Factor had a roto start system and has a 3 channel radio; the 3rd channel enabling it to shift into reverse. Losi has a awesome remote starting system that you activate from your transmitter, fancy stuff there:D

Ya....

Nitro is just a pita.
I ONLY run "brushless" electrics, now.

Alot simpler, and you can bash 'em 2x harder.
It's alot of fun! :D

I should get some video of me smashin' this thing up...
hmm...

EDIT: @Pumpkin'.... That flex is CRAZY!!!!

@Pumpkin'.... That flex is CRAZY!!!!

Everyone says nitro cant crawl, place this truck between a rock and a hard place and it will twist up and crawl out of it :D. however it handles like crap on pavement, and when I send it sailing off jumps it becomes a big floppy mess in mid air...hmmmm haven't figured out how to fab a nice looking set of sway bars for the link suspension:thinking:.

I haven't gone brushless with my 1.9 comp crawler yet... but my 4ch heli is all brushless, gotta love that brushless hiss and not have to worry about frying the commutator on the armature or smoking the brushes:bow:

<<< Brushed engine smoke CHAMPION!!!

I could only imagine how po'd the crawler guys would be,
if you had a nitro crawler.... :haha:

Lol it would be eligible to compete alongside the super class models being that my wheel base is the minimum 16 inches, clods, txts, x crawlers etc but I would go through as many clutch shoes as a fat 5 year old inhaling fries at mickey d's..possible yes, logical no :doah:

Oh and not to mention that I would be the laughing stock through the entire event:whistle:

I've got a nitro Savage SS and it's a bitch to tune. I just wanna get rid of it lol

This is interesting in a way that this thread has no relevance to workin' on our actual 1:1 scale toys and is slowly deviating away from technical automotive discussion:rolleyes:.

I say let there be a thread kinda like the lounge where everyone and anyone can bs about their R/C toys being from custom scaled R/C trucks based off their actual 1:1 rigs, to people's mainstream R/Cs from vendors like HPI XTM Traxxas etc, let there be discussion in marine, land, and aerial toys to go along with it too.

just my two cents :D:popcorn:

we create "sub-lounges" on another forum I'm on....

We usually name them after ourselves, or, like this thread, subject matter.

Let this be the Official R/C Lounge!!!!

So it is written, and so shall it be done!
