The R/C Garage... [R/C Drivers Lounge]

:yikes: That's a Looooooooong header! Question; Did you get more torque out of the engine coupled with the tuned expansion chamber? That thing is rofl:rotfl:

not sure.. never ran it without it.... :dunno:

all i can tell you is this thing RIPPED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i want another. but i dont know if i want a crawler or a speeder again....

im leaning towards a crawler with a 3 speed trans.. for low gear but some oomph...

Its not a crawler or 4x4 but it does run on gas! I have a HPI Baja that very quickly became almost all aftermarket parts as i broke something new weekly.
These are from before i bent the frame. its a gunmetal gray frame now. and the shock shafts have been upgraded to 6mm phatdad shafts. ordering a new 29cc top end kit tonight. a little upgrade from my 23cc stocker

Rpm A-arms all around dyed blue
Hostile Mx tires front and rear (front not pictured)
phatdad shock shafts
darksoul meaty bone drive shafts
DDM Dominator pipe
Turtle Racing aluminum parts
White SS wheels and White wing dyed blue
there is more but i cant think of it all now.

Nice to know there's another CK5'er that has a 1/5th scale R/C. I don't have any pics of it yet but I have a Baja 5B as well. Its all stock except for a tuned pipe.

Ive got 2 Rustlers and a 1.9 Scaled Crawler all in various build stages...hell If I can ever have anything that runs.

The crawler was about done till I decided to put a K5 body on it instead of a longbox truck body.

Here's my DTX Cliff Climber 1/14 scale.
Clocked the axles. 2.2 Axial beadlocks on ProLine Hammers. Steel diff gears.Upgraded radio(Traxxas). Locked out the rear steer.Changed out the lower links to stainless steel tubes. I have a set of lights that I haven't installed yet. Total money pit but's it's fun.

Damn.. That thing is fast! :waytogo:

Thats actually pretty slow. Only a 17 turn Brushed motor and a old NIMH 3000 pack.

The new Brushless stuff is wicked fast with a 3S Lipo I think a Rustler can go like 70 out of the box. :D

Ya well....

At least you dont have to worry about speed-rolls,
and exploded parts...

Okay, you prolly have to worry about exploded parts, too. :D

Yep, been there. Hence the steel gears. I grenaded the plastic gears the first day I had it. A week after that I broke the dog bones so I upgraded to steel cv's. I haven't had any problems with the axles since(knock on wood).

i never broke anything on the crew cab, just the crappy delrin leaf springs. went to steel and now theyre just bent.
