I will post some pictures of my old venom creeper crawler tomorrow.

I added to the stable today. Have owned an AX10 for a couple of years. Son bought me a Wraith for Christmas. Niece kid.

Today I added a 3 month old Traxxas Slayer Pro 4x4.

well i got rid of my tmaxx... and while it was doing me no good.. he got a better deal..
he showed me it moved forward and reverse while holding it in the air.. it was a good drive so i wanted to scram..

go figure..

axial ax10 scorpion rtr
wrong motor - 19T
solder joints on motor sucked and fell off.. had to resolder
servo saver for steering was stripped but we talked about that and i knew about that
severe axle wrap in front and back.. worn out parts once again....

it had something weird going on ... i thought it was the bad solder on the motor when they fell off but found out it is not... the esc when powered on does a few beeps... well sometimes it does and sometimes it doesnt.. when it doesnt then no power..play with the wires and it comes on but will shut of at times..

so on order and waiting for it..

27T axial stock motor - ill most likely get a 55T for crawling but no real rocks near us so i want it a lil faster than a major crawler

ae-2 esc - fairly cheap and able to program for brake

axial 4 link rear plate

carbon fiber front servo/battery/4 link plate

then when all that comes in im just going to make my links like everyone else is doing... 8/32 allthread with 1/4 tubing and tmaxx ends...

just going to play with it as is for a while... just to have fun with the kids...
i will have extra parts now.. so may pickup stuff for my oldest son to start building one for him...

muddysub that scout is sick.. would like to braze some bumpers for my scx 10.. never tired it before.. here a few pictures of what i have.... friends black and bronze jeep too. i have a vxl rustler for speed. everything else is crawler and one helicopter..

Thanks man, I kinda regret selling it. I got a new toy the other day. Just an axial wraith. Mostly stock for now.

I wish I had somewhere to crawl. I have some rocks in my yard but not enough to keep me entertained for long.

My Axial SCX10

nice truck dude :thumb:

if a trade i got going works..
i will either have a scx-10 for a FOFF project... will run brushless 6s, waterproof esc and be my beach basher / trail thrasher

or this one im leaning more towards..
a Trail Finder chassis
R2 HD transmission
d35 front and rear axle
on leaf springs
all made my rc4wd.com

that would be my scaler.. i want a scaler and a foff too... so i see me having 3....

I'm getting back into the nitro world after about 6 years out of the game. I bought an older revo 2.5 last week. It has been sitting for a while and needs some work but for the price, I couldn't pass it up. I'm going to try to get her running as it sits but if it isn't easy I am just going to trade the motor in to traxxas with $110 and get a new 3.3. I only paid $100 for it so even with a new motor I'm ahead.

Just found out in my Engineering class that we will be required to build a robot to compete in a race. I'm thinking of building am electric powered ultra 4 type of thing. Decent at high speed whoops but can still crawl up a flight of stairs. Its not going to have any type of body for cosmetics except for what is installed to increase survivability. Im thinking if i use tall enough tires and keep the platform low profile enough it should be able to drive upside down in reverse just in case i get rolled over during the race. Also if the tires are out in front of the body it will be able to climb up stairs well as long as i get the wheel base and belly clearance right. I'm pretty sure the race course will just consist of flat ground and maybe stairs but i'll have to get more information from my teacher to be sure. Just started browsing over here. Anyone know any better places to get the parts to build one of these little Rc buggys from scratch?
