The R/C Garage... [R/C Drivers Lounge]

I have a ball with it. Tape on weights in the wheels helped. It rolled just turning it hard. Its not a hard core crawler. I just use it to run around in the RV park. Not too slow and not fast enough for anyone to complain. I did put aluminum steering, upper and lower links on it. Had a gift card for Amainhobbies.com.

just got my brushless kit for my foff in.. need to solder deans on it and get it all programmed.. and mount the camaro lid... going to NC corolla soon too.. will be taking it on the cold beach for a run!!!!!!!! :thumb:

just got a brushless waterproof setup.. i know nothing about brushless so this is new to me...
not sure if i got the best motor for my use.. in the camaro, paddle tires cut from 2.2 rim to 1.9 rim...
3s lipo battery...
it moved ok today.. with a 16t pinion and stock spur on a scx-10 based rig..

Well i better chime in now, I was snagged a old traxxas rustler #3710 and a tamiya black foot(minus the body) in trade for some beers. Guess the traxxas was run threw a puddle when new and it quit working(over ten years ago). We cleaned it up, the speed control was a bit sticky. Other than that it works well. Got the tamiya working as well, gotta fit a body to it yet.

Also they came with 2 quick chargers(either 110v or 12v car battery) and a whole lot o weak batteries. So guess ill have to pick a couple up.

To bad i dont have any pic's of em at the moment.

Basically here's the rustler, but mines a funky bright green color :pimp:

I think that I'm going to turn the AX10 I just got from Mike into a scaler... I've been poking around on RCCrawler and that seems like the way I want to go with it. I'm going to play with it while I gather the parts though :D

Just bought a t-Maxx in pieces for $50. Just need a transmitter and body. Has all of the aluminum stuff on it that is made for it.

Might as well add mine. Here is my traxxas Grave digger that I purchased off a local online auction for $68.00 :waytogo: and my two S107G helicopters.

problem the ax10 is not really a scaler.. you would need to swap the frame first...

a good one is the tcs xtrail chassis.. i got that on my foff im building.. and my foff was running great yesterday.. just need to mount the body and gear it correctly..:thumb:

I always wanted to make it a scaler.
With a genuine frame, and cage, and all that stuff. :D

The hobby shop, near me, has frames for $60.

Well, I just took the plunge and got my first "non-toy" grade RC as a late Xmas gift to myself.

Went with the Traxxas Slash 4x4 Ultimate. Currently reading all the crap that came with it, and charging the provided battery pack. Some pics...

I'll probably install the center diff tonight yet.

Any n00b stuff y'all want to help me avoid doing? :ears:

Dont do donuts on smooth concrete with the body off. When it slides under a real truck and the rear tire binds up in front of the real truck tire, the rear A arms break.

Is that brushless?
