OK just looking for help. I want to get my son a RC. I want it to be somewhat fast but also be able to control it. Would like a Blazer body (full vert with cage would cool) and easy to take care of ie. batteries and parts. Is this possible? I've read quite a bit here and my head is spinningI think Thumpers 1.9 scale is a nice size?
Thanks
There are certainly a lot of options out there. My advice would be to pick up an Axial SCX10 based truck. There are many, and they are all 1.9 tires sized initially, which is fun and realistic. Tons of aftermarket, very durable, and awesome performance. There are a couple Blazer bodies that fit, as well as numerous others, and the wheelbase is easily changed. Cruise over to towerhobbies.com and type in Axial SCX10 to see the different models. They come Ready to run and kit, the latter requiring all electronics. Neither include batteries or chargers. If you want to keep it simple, pick up a good 3000-5000 NIMH pack and cheap peak charger and you'd be good to go.
