"The Raped Grape" turning wilted raisin... ***crash update, pics start post 600***

Well I just bought my first Bowtie and pretty excited to start this project. And Deuling told me I should become a member on ck5 so here I am. What I just bought is a 81 k10 w/ a 350, sm465, 10 bolts, 4" suspension lift, 4" redneck tube body lift, on 35's. Body is pretty rough as far as dents and everything lining up right but is fairley solid as far as rust goes. I plan on just building a fun trail rig not really too worried about the body of the truck but looking to build up the drivetrain. Don't really know where I am going to go with this truck yet seems how I just bought it on a whim but as of right now I'm thinking a 383 stroker will be replacing the 350. Plan on keeping the sm465. I want to get the sketchy body lift off it and as far as everything else... I'll just wing it as I go haha

Yah that body lift does have to go. The box only has about 2-3"s it can slide from side to side cause there all loose at the moment. Not that bad haha

Eff that lol. And a fan shroud, and lots of wiring, and rubber body mounts, and bumpers, and lights, and working gauges, and a sticker stating the bad gas mileage this vehicle gets and that you dont give a fock. I think i got you covered on the last one at least lol.:D

Well any body stuff will be done last except that body lift haha. That will be addressed this winter. So far I plan on locker for the rear, go through the wiring and get gauges working and get all the hillbilly wiring off of it, power steering pump, get a grille and headlights back in it, then I have to decide engine whys what I want to go with. Either build a stroker out of deulings mystery 4.300" bore motor:haha: or BIG BLOCK. But for now the running 350 in it will do until I make up my mind

Looks like a good project. Work on it in small steps so you can still use it in the meantime.

It will be tore up probably all winter cause I don't plan on driving it in the snow. And besides I still have my Ford I can play with haha

Go with a 1" body lift and a set of new body mounts. I liked the rubber OEM style body mounts I got from LMC. They came with all of the hardware.

Yah i thought this was to save the ferd? And what all needs torn apart all winter? We should be able to have it ready to go in a weekend. Rip that body lift out, wiring, put the lights on from the truggy, weld up some kinda bumper., Power steering, Good to go :thumb:
