That truck looks like a good place to start...plus it don`t have a blue warning label in the grill. :D

One friend did find a 100% rust free '78 in about '96 but never painted it. Whole thing was primer. Still owns it now and it's about 50% rust

What's the deal with Deuling's odd small block that's not a 305?

The rockers and floor and bottom of the box are pretty far gone. It does look pretty clean in the pics though :D. And we found out my "305" is really a .030 over 350 lol.
 
Hahaha. So you thought it was a tired 305...and it was a 361...nice.

and that looks pretty solid, if you overlook the ghetto body lift. i'd be honored to find something in that condition around here for under $3000. definitely a good starting point.

Yah it def is really solid. I was looking it over better this morning and frame is spotless. No rust what so ever. Between the solid frame. Brand new aluminum radiator. Good running 350 and sm465. Pretty decent tires. I would say well worth the $900 I picked it up for haha:thumb:

Well to update on what's kind of gone on since I bought the truck. I made a list of all the red neck engineering done to this truck so I can start fixing these things. Well.... Ended up with a 2 page list :doah: I just pulled it in the garage and started on it tonight and was able to check off a few things on the list. Currently working on putting headlights and a grille on it which I took from the dune truggy that we weren't going to use. Pays off not throwing that kind of stuff away:thumb: hopefully by the end of this week I can have a lot more of these "redneck modifications" taken care of.

Oh and to add I missed out on the Dana 60 kingpin and 14 BFF for $600. Bummed about that but oh well I'll just have to find me another steal... Hopefully.

Specs on the Ford?


More than a few members on here with Non-Chevy's.

I don't even own a true Chevy anymore.
 
Haha oh well glad to hear that :thumb:Well the ford has been a darn good truck for me I have owned it for two years and had to finally replace something just this last weekend. A wheel bearing. But I bought the truck mostly stock but here's a few specs. 6" superlift lift kit. Weld racing rims with 33" bfg's and I have a set of 35's going on this spring. White Herculined the bottom foot of the truck all the way around. Blacked out lights all the way around. 5.4l with accel coils. Hypermax programmer. 3" exhaust with flow master 40. 4 Pro comp lights on the grille. I think that's about it for now. Deuling calls this truck the pre runner haha. I think usually cause I just fly around the dunes in 2 wheel all the time doing about 50-60mph :thumb:
