And I felt extra motivated tonight Sooooooooooo I went ahead and threw the 12" springs in up front on the 10blt( Dana 60 isn't ready to go in yet). I mainly did this cause the 4" lift springs are sold already and the guy wanted them ASAP and I really wanted to see what this thing was gonna look like.

And for reference. I'm 6'2". This is with 12" superlift springs and 3" body. Tires are 35"s in the pic.

Sub frame action!!!

Nate.. Lets make a sub frame lol.

I like the rockwell tcase idea. Then you wouldnt need crazy fancy driveshafts.

Gotta say that Ford is sick! :thumb:

agreed, my brother had a 78? highboy....thought that was about the coolest Ford truck made!

Josh that Ferd is sick!!! And is way bigger than I plan on going.... Then again I also didn't plan on doing tons and as big of lift as I'm doing now so..... :haha:

Thanks Dave. Or Rick. Whatever I'm calling you these days :haha:

This truck here is pretty much what I am kind of going for. Except I probally will only run 40" tires. I like to see lots of wheel well:thumb:

This truck is 12" suspension with 44"s. I'm looking to do 12" suspension 3" body and 40's. but this gives an idea.

I think it will work as well as your front shocks ..........:D

Well from the looks of things since the shocks don't reach anymore. And the swaybar also doesn't reach the spring plates anymore......... If I just bolted the two of them togethor. shocks from the axle to the sway bar then they would reach!

Hmmm with this winning set up I may have to ditch the plans for the d60 w/ x over and hydro assist....

:haha::haha::haha::haha::haha:

I can remember in the mid-late 90's when kids in my HS class drove trucks like that daily.

Ah, 75 cent gas...

Been awhile since I came by to see the progress, and I must say, lookin' sweet!

Thanks dude:thumb:

I've meant to ask you this before too but how's your 350 turn those 44's with the 700 and 4.56's?

I'm planning on running a 350( for a little while atleast), built 700, and I have 5.38's for gears. And I'm gonna be more around a 40" tire.

Yeah.

Gas hit a buck and I thought I was going to go broke spinning my 33's.

Yep, when I was in HS it was 1.38$. I thought I would be broke when it hit 2$ a gallon. Now between smokes costing 7$ a pack and gas at 3.81$ a gallon, I am broke.

Well on the highway at 65 my rpm's are right at 2000 in OD, but even the slightest hill or gust of wind the right way, it downshifts... In the mud it does decent I just have to be sure to not give it hell very much or else I'd be looking at other problems. But in all honesty I could use a little peppier motor. I have to run it in 4LO to really be able to clean out the tires like they need. I would think you would be in the green with 5.38's, especially running a 40" tire.

I know that Steven(82K10SBC)The Mistress, has / or had 4.56's with his 44's but he also had a lot more ponies to spin them. I don't know how well off he was with that setup but I would think he was good. I've done surprisingly well with my setup the few times I've taken it out and my adventures are all ponds. A motor is definitely next on my list of upgrades though. Going back and forth between all out with a big block or build a stroker motor...
