"The Raped Grape" turning wilted raisin... ***crash update, pics start post 600***

It should be the 5r110 trans in it which is a 5 speed. And I'm not saying you won't I've got 38's to spin haha I may regear idk yet tho gonna do more research first.

All I know is thing has some crazy power, more than my 90 f250 idi 7.3 :haha:

But I've driven my buddies 08 duramax and this 6.0 should beat that no problem. It pulls way harder than his dmax.

Stock dmax, or programmed from a box tuner? EFI live is a whole nother can of whoopass. I'm running idaho robs tow tune which is nice, but I have several other tunes that absolutely haul ass. Just pulling 8k behind with those tunes is another story. I could run those tunes and tow I just do not want to spend 3 grand to upgrade my allison. I am perfectly fine running 70 up the hills no problem.

You have to have a nasty tune on there to spin 38's at 60. My buddy has the 6.7 h&s tuned maxed out, with 37's and he can't break loose 37's at 60. His pulls but not like my dmax. The 1st gear isn't as snappy.

It's got a ppe programmer on it with 10 tunes and he said its on tune 6 but I don't know anything about the ppe tuners other than there bigger in the duramax world. I've been doing some reading and the sct tuners are supposed to be good on these things. Idk Ive got time to mess with it.

Breaking the tires loose on the highway down here our friend was telling us that when its hot and humid that oil seaps up from the cracks and makes the highways slick sometimes ,which could have been a factor haha but none the less it still broke em loose :pimp:

So got some stuff this weekend. Got the hydro all hooked up and I started building my trac bars. A few pics of progress.

The girl friend showed up and wanted a picture for "the nerd site" as she says.

A picture of the top of that PS box where the hose goes in to the removable plate would be wonderful. Like a view from the top, I want to drill and tap mine and I wasnt exactly sure where to do it.

Here you go. These are courtesy of Josh (jt512). He sent me these cause I had the same question.

Yah its really simple. Idk why I put mine off so long. Just take the piman arm off the box cause that shaft comes out the top with that top plate. And its only cast aluminum so its really easy to drill and tap. Whole process took me probally a half hour from taking the cap off to having it tapped and back on the box.

You're half way to a four link

:doah: trust me. If I woulda known what I do now when I started this truck it would have been linked instead of these springs. But im too close to being done now to change it up. I want to have some fun with it before I cut everything back off this and do something else.

Chicken, you won't do it. All the cool kids swap out leaf springs for links mid build.:haha:

Now Ben, this is a guy with a plan and a goal. You could learn a thing or two... :haha:

Nate, you should at least point the screwdrivers in the opposite direction for symmetry and all that.:haha:
