The restoration/modification of Daisy…

Sweet, tapatalk is back! Daisy, a huge ass F350 and an FJ cruiser went out to colosseum mine just across the border in commiefornia on Sunday. We took the long way in from Primm, NV at the state line and came back out through the Ivanpah solar fields back to I-15. Nothing too rough, just rocky, winding roads. There was one washout across the road that Daisy and the FJC made it across but the F350 had to take a bypass line. No one got pics of Daisy climbing out of that washout, I made it through on the second shot with a little spotting. It was a good time, even though it was rough as **** out there on these springs and with 40lbs in the tires. I need my ORD springs to show up and I need a power tank.

Do you have AC in your Suburban?

Martin

Front and rear yeah. Since the engine swap I haven't, that's next weekend's project.

I've got all the parts piled up on the table, time to install everything, have a couple hoses made to adapt to the new compressor and charge it up.

I'm also tearing back into the dash to wire up the HVAC switches, install the stereo, replace the gauge bezel, add some better insulation to the floor and wire up the door locks. I'll probably have it out of service for a month.

What size grabbers are those? can't seem to find it and I'm looking at them. How well do you like them on the street and off road? Looking forward to checking this thing out in September. :thumb:

I'm really happy with the grabbers. No shortage of traction so far. Actually kinda bummed that I can't spin them on pavement. They go down the highway smooth and quiet for a 35" tire. They're 35x12.50R17. If they release them in a 37x12.50, that'll be my next set of tires.

Oh damn! Thats big! Good job to you for being able to dedicate so much attention to this thing!

Agreed...your wife should be nominated "Most understanding and accepting of a 4 wheel mistress". :haha: My wife has had it up to her....eyes...with our Sub. She has even told me that if it breaks or gives us trouble one more time, it's going off a cliff. I'm afraid I might be in it too. :D

My ORD springs should be here Friday!
You're really going to enjoy them. They dramatically changed the character of my truck for the better - stable, comfortable, and much more confidence on the trail.
