The restoration/modification of Daisy… [Blazer Bash is getting closer]

Sounds good dude! I don't remember if you are subscribed to my crew cab build, but for stripping paint I'm using 3m 18424 clean n strip discs. They work very quickly! Might look into those to see if it's something you are interested in.

I haven't been, I've checked in a time or two. I'll look into those, thanks! Where are you buying them?

EBay. I just type in 3m 18424. Just know that they are hook and loop backed so you have to have a hook and loop backer deal on yiur grinder.

They are basically the same as these except I get the ones that are velcro backed because they last longer and have more surface area to work with.

These disks are like magic! After watching that video I wanna know strip my entire burb down to bare metal!

I'll order some this weekend, I'll have them in time for the 22nd. Yesterday I dropped off the gutters and cowl to be sandblasted.

Last night the weather was awesome so Hank and I went for a drive to warm up the front diff. Just cruising around some dirt roads near my house.

It's pretty sweet to have these "dirt roads" around the valley, I have a interesting trail that leads into the mountains that I see lots of 4x4's heading into. I shall give it a drive one day.

Definitely jealous about your quick access to dirt trails. Not a lot of public land in Texas.

That's like here in Montana. It's either National Forest or ranch land around here. Growing up in northern Nevada, I could cover my eyes, spin around a few times, throw a rock and it'd land on a cool dirt trail leading off into the desert.

Most of the land around here is BLM land and has signs which say not to go there with anything powered. Have yet to see anyone get in trouble for doing so, aside from the Bundy wild horses......

Cool man, Hank looks like a good copilot! My coonhound gets car sick like a mofo, everybody said she'd grow out of it but she's almost 2 now... lol

Damn those are sweet. Gotta look into them.

Again I use the 3m ones that are velcro backed. I would say one disc will do a whole bed side so long as you don't ride hard on the discs edge. To strip a whole burb I would order 10. I have gone through eight on the crew.

Anyway you can link us to the ones you use? I checked ebay last night and was left wondering if I found the right dsks. :dunno:

Thanks for the link Mitchell! I'll be stocking up soon.

I got the AC charged up again today. Let's see how long it stays that way this time. It was kinda cool parking the Suburban in my buddy's race shop.

In the morning we're heading up to Utah for the day to put some miles on the truck, let the dogs run around and escape the heat for a day.

Wow sat for 6 years then 4 years later... LOOKS GREAT!!!!

My truck sat since 1997 to 2004.. then drove 04 to 2008... it is insured and I could drive it right now.. but it ain't ready..

Props to ya man!

Nope it's leaking somewhere. I'm ****ing sick of it, yesterday I was ready to strip the drive train, sell the body and frame and start a rock buggy build. I've charged this ****ing thing 5 times now. Leaks, compressor failure, condenser failure and now more leaks...
