The restoration/modification of Daisy.

Here are some photos of the cat installed on the truck, it went in easily, I had it done in an hour or so. I put 75mi or so on it today before going in for a smog test and she passed with flying colors. It's quieter on the highway and I can't tell any difference in power. I'm so happy I'm not even bothered that the AC compressor's pop off valve popped open while doing the smog test. I'll call the AC shop on Monday and talk to them about it. I guess sitting still, at 2500rpm, in 110* ambient heat with the AC running forced the head pressure up too much. I really need more air flow, new fans just got bumped to the top of the list.

I was wondering exactly the same thing.
Clocking info please...................
Looking to get my bottom side more flat.

My '85 K20 needs a clocking ring.

Or some lift.....

So I am interested as well.

I have the ring, I guess I just need some advise on how far to clock it. I don't really want to mess with the floor.

I'm pretty sure the suburban's can clock higher due to different floor shape than the K5's. I know I'm basically copying his cross member, just looking to decide how far to clock mine up. Hopefully I can go just one or two holes and clearance the axle joints.

To help out the AC with the ridiculous heat we've got going on here in Las Vegas, I installed some new fans today. Last year when the ev shop charged my AC they told me I needed more airflow. My old fans were rated at 1530cfm, these new ones are rated at 2785cfm. All I really had to do was drill new holes and build the pigtail. I test ran them and at idle in the driveway they kicked on at 210* and back off at 195* less than a minute later. We'll see how they do. I've heard rumors about electric fan cfm ratings being a bunch of bullshit, from several manufacturers. They do flow more than the old ones, I can feel a difference putting my hand behind the fans.

I've also decided that some sort of good louvres would be helpful here in the desert, so I made some templates today that I want to get cut out of aluminum or stainless.
