The Shop Truck

1971 Chevy C20 with a custom flat bed.
Also, your bank number is an average. Any single cylinder o2 readings?
No, but I'm currently working on this:

That will at least give me individual EGTs.

The only time (prior to last weekend) that I melted plugs is when I shut the nitrous off instantly. I was doing PWM off on every run at DTD and I still burned #8 on every run.

On that note, I also sent all this info along with my tune and datalogs to one of the guys that's been helping me. Apparently I'm an idiot, I was adding timing to #7 and 8, not removing it and I was just barely getting into the area where I added timing/fuel (started at a MAP of 91kpa) so #8 was only getting 4.5% more fuel and 2° more timing and #7 was getting 3.2% more fuel and 1.2° more timing.

That being said, the damage is still more than I would expect, but everything I said before goes out the window.

The more fuel on a carb at 300 shot is pretty unreal

Ask this guys where to start over for timing pull and fuel add. I’m curious how high it will be

I'm still confused as to why #8 was so much worse than #7. I think the exposed plug was still part of the issue.

And hard on the equipment…
That's my middle name.

EGT probes are installed in the headers, although I'll probably have to remove them to install the headers...

Thankfully the wiring for it is pretty simple. The module is just canbus, so there's just a single connection to the ECU and the 8 EGT probes.

Cost and packaging. I'm not even sure the dominator can run 8 widebands so it would have to be a stand alone.

After moping around the shop for half the day, I finally got motivated enough to work on something. I fabbed up a nice mount for the fuse block, relay block, and EGT probe controller to mount it under the center console. I plan on making side covers for it at some point down the road.

I have nothing to contribute other than the shop truck had a nice cameo on Vice Grip Garage this week!
I don't usually watch that show, I'll have to check it out. It should be in this Thursday's episode of Freiburger's YouTube channel too.
