The Shop Truck

1971 Chevy C20 with a custom flat bed.
After reading this thread Smeding is not inpressing me.not that they care I don't see myself needing any thing they build
Buying the engine from them has been my biggest regret of this build. Unfortunately one of my friends bought a 383 SBC from them shortly after I ordered mine. I'm hoping he has better luck.

Brent, do you feel the nitrous is the way to go? I know you are invested in it at this point but It sounds like turbos would benefit longevity wise.

I don't know at this point. The plan was always for boost, but I had such good luck with nitrous before, I wanted to try that first.
I'm just hoping the engine survives long enough for boost. I have it very reliable for NA driving, I'm just trying to get it to reliably go down the strip with a decent time.

Did you say fry that or try that?

I'd run it at 200 and see if it lives longer. 300 may be too much for the fogger setup.:dunno:

Or, add boost THEN a 200 shot.... You know, since you have the system and bottles already :thumb:

I plan on running nitrous with boost, but just to help get it off the line.

I underestimated how difficult it would be to get the parts I bought to do what they are designed to do with out destroying everything.

Is that a kit or just a custom one off?
I just did a quick google image search and ran across it.

It is a kit, but I know nothing about them. Was mostly trying to prod you.. lol

Lol, I google image searched it already. I'd have to do something different with my brake master and relocate a lot of things. It looks nice though.

OK, apparently it wasn't next day air? Fed Ex changed the expected delivery date overnight to Sunday now. Hopefully it doesn't get delayed further.

They don't like delivering NDA for heavy stuff on the weekends, to the point I don't order that way even when I'm doing a commercial repair

It's at the depot in Chandler as of 6:30 this morning, but they changed the delivery date again to tomorrow...

Brown does it too. You heavy parts project people can suck it. Gots Temu garbage to get gone
