Yeah I saw your post after I hit send.
Looks like the marking in orange is where it should be.

There was a nut on it, so I'm assuming the orange was above the nut. I asked Wegner if they had instructions on adjusting it properly. If not I figure I'll just set it 1/2 turn from letting the throttle plate fully close. I'm assuming it's meant to keep the throttle from getting stuck shut.

I just wanted to address this comment with more detail. When I worked with Wegner ordering the kit, they took into account the displacement of my engine to pick the pulleys. I currently have a 3.7" and a 3.225" pulley, they said it would make about 7psi on the big pulley (it makes over 8) and 18psi on the small pulley (it made 16.4 on the dyno). That's spinning the blower 14% faster with the small pulley. They also sell a 4" and a 3" pulley. The 3" would be 23% faster, I may order that if it will get here in time.
I looked at the 3.8L blower (it's a direct bolt in swap on this kit), but decided not to go that way because it can't use the 4" pulley, 3.7 is as big as you can go. With the 3.7" pulley you're pushing 1000hp worth of air, I don't think you want that for a driver, especially if you don't have easy access to e85. That's why I went with the 3L.

After I posted it I remembered that you had talked it all through with wegner. And figured that was all calculated.

Wegner didn't know how to adjust that set screw either unfortunately. They did send me a picture of another blower that had the screw in place though and I submitted a ticket with Whipple to see if they could tell me how to adjust it (they're not known for good customer support unfortunately).
I set it where it barely hit the stop and turned it out another half turn. I took it for a drive, it makes about 9lbs on the 3000RPM 2 step now which is way better than the 6 lbs it was making before. I also saw 13lbs on the one pull I managed to do, but it was over 100 and humid AF so I'm sure that's why it was down on boost a bit.
I also may have ordered the smallest pulley (3.050") and a spare belt.

We only made 3 passes, we didn't get a datalog on the first 1/8 pull so I did a second. That's when I realized it wasn't making the right boost. We did one final 1/4 mile pass and called it a night. It was the PB for the truck, but just barely.

Added a bit of weight and still went faster though.
I'd call it a win.

I don't know shit about it, but that last launch definitely felt like the best one.

The first and last run were identical 60 foot times, 1.603. That is the current best on the truck, but I can't wait to see what it's like with a couple extra PSI on the launch.

It's amazing how much the sidewalls wrinkle. They are radials and I'm running 25psi in them currently, I may have to bump that up.

Also, Whipple got back to me today with the instructions to adjust the set screw. What I did is pretty much what they said to do. I just need to take it back apart and loctite it.

I've seen on my stuff with the stereo, that RTV sealant on the threads works better for vibration.
I use it just like I would loctite. Put it on the threads, then run it in, or the nut on, whatever.
Just have to actually let it set 24 hrs or or to make sure it's set all the way through.

I'm just putting some finishing touches on the truck now, just to make the drag and drive stuff easier/more comfortable. Today I hooked an air line up to the air bag tank so I can have onboard air.

I was also working on some fittings to make it easy to pump fuel out of our tank if I need to switch from E85 to pump gas. I'm not sure how readily available e85 is at all, much less high percentage like I can get here. I'll be taking 36 gallons from the station here because it was e90 last time I filled my fuel tanks up.
After I finished playing with plumbing, I made some cup holders for the center console.

They're not "installed" yet, but for now I think they're just going to get double side taped in with some 3m UHT.

E-85 is spottily available in MI. I would think others at the track will know of some locations, but “MEIJER” stations carry it.
I’m not sure if pump E-85 is actually 85% though. Seems like someone tested some random pumps and it was as low as 70%.

What I've found, in this portion of the country is anywhere near a big city with suburbs, you find it all over.
Any rural communities it's basically non existent.

Walmart gas stations seem to have it usually also.
But ours it seems it comes and goes, so it's not a reliable source.
Could just be our station, but I know they're bagged off more than any other nozzle.
