It did the same thing at ubly, we just didn't catch it. I'm not faulting gearstar on this. It was my tuning and driving that hurt it.
 
Did it by chance kick the limiter for a second when it slipped?

Mine was kicking the limiter last year shortly after shifting, some times just before, when I was hard in it. But I always thought it was a programming thing in the holley.
This year with the new correctly BUILT transmission that's not slipping, it doesn't do it anymore.

I believe it's an unmentioned holley failsafe or something :dunno:
