THE STUBBY project / R.I.P . . . . . . . . . . .

a pic would be sweet, maybe just put a couple bolts to hold it against the housing if ya could. I have one on my front and its really nice.

ye ask and ye shal recive pics.

ruffstuff diffcover and van width housing 14ff with lots of ribs.

real tight full fit to the cover .

and basicly looks like chop off the lower lip and call it good.

cover on and tight all you can see is a tiny trace of the gasket just inside the cover.

and did anyone spot the blown up bearing cage stuck to the magnet ? its going to get a full reman and gears / arb and bearings.

Brett, your going to get all wrapped up in new rust free metal down there. You'll be wanting to get rid of what you have from NY, so might just as well leave it with me.

Good luck man.

Cool, thanks. I asked Shaffers about when the 14ff gasket would be available a few months ago when they said they were in the works. Saw that SDHQ was pimping them on the pbb too. Need to find a place I can order from and order other stuff too to justify shipping. I already got one in my front. Thanks again.

NOT DEAD yet.

but scored a new part the other day.

been wanting a deep aluminum fined tranny pan for the 4l80-e . been watching for a smokin deal on evilbay and others for over a year.

found a place that listed a good light used take off pan from MAG-HYTEC :woot: thats 4qt over the deep gm tin pan. plus o-ring seal and drain plug with magnet. and comes drilled/tapped for 1/8 pipe thread for temp sender.

average of $310 - $330 cheepest new with shipping.

i scored mine for $165 shipped. just got to rinse with some brake cleaner and install. glad i got 2 cases of atf when the local place had it on sale few months ago before price jump went in to play. :D its going to drink it.

waiting for the o.k. from my dr. to get back on even light duty . had my c6-c7 vert in my neck fuzed together few months ago. had a blown out disk. was pinching off the nerve bundle to the left arm.

hate to say it tho. but prob not going to get done this year again. by the time i can prob get back on it and even have any cash to finish it since i am out of work with my surgery.

i am prob going to dig out the good old k30 plow truck and do a few mod's / new parts and get the 8ft and 9ft plow blades ready for this snow season coming. then i can make some cash fast n easy.
