I had a pretty paint job once, every one since then has been done in the driveway (or in the shop after a ton of work to protect the place from overspray) and I'm pretty sure they all end up with bugs in the paint and nobody cares. Nice job!

The more I look at it the more I think you should have gone white on the 1/2 cab instead of black

Rustoluem, smoke gray. Slightly darker than machine gray.

Thought about that. Really wanted the hard top to be black though. So, I did the top of the 1/2 cab black to match like they did in the late 70s or so (except black instead of white). I'll work on the top later this year and we'll just have to see what it looks like when it starts to get cold again.

Still unsure on the stripe. I think I'll mock it up with masking tape and see how it looks and decide from there. May just do the center black like the original 2 tone was brown/tan. It'll just be gray/black this time.

There's two grays with Tractor Supply (darkest is MF gray?) that I saw, but I hadn't decided. I think if I can find a nice charcoal enamel, I'll pull the trigger, but I do want something that looks different than primer. Personal preference and all, you know. Yours looks great...and I would love that stripe if I could pull it off, white o either the charcoal or black.

You might be right, I bet the top would pull it all in. But its getting warm, who actually wants the top on?
