NOOOOO!!!!! Those progressives are too soft. You need a stiffer one or stick with the single rate.

Did you keep the spring mount adjustable?

I just swapped them in and they are perfect! I called cage and a few others and the springs are acting right. I also used a spring rate calc I found online and they are within my needs.

with the bilstein reservoir shocks up front and the adjustable ranch 9000's in the rear it is very stable and not bouncy at all. I believe the bounce we got was caused from the complete lack of shocks on the truck.

the single rates were nice, but did not fit the mount very well and transfered the noise and rattles into the cab as they hit the mount in various places. the new ones are a dream, also the progressive rates do not bow or deconform their shape now once I placed them right. I also did not loose any hight once I swapped them and the truck is perfectly level side to side!!

im very happy!

Shawn you the man, wish I had your skill and talent  Nice work :eek1:

dood this is luck, what is this talent you speak of, the only thing I can brag about is I actually went through with it:hack::grind::weld:

also put the tires wheels from the burb on, 285's measure to just under a 33 inch.

plans are for a truck box to put my nitrogen tank in, and new equipment, and just put a 6 foot snap top some type of toonahoodoo cover thing on the top. no work shell since im loving the look of a truck again:bow: damn thing looks like a 4x4.

anyone notice the date of the first post:doah:...

I wonder what it will be like on its second birthday:haha:

nicely done! put something next to it tho so we can see the height perspective.

I did the shackle flip today, for now I am running a 4 inch block with it..

dare I say it but I might be 4 linking the rear after I get the t-case and shafts done:doah: I dont like blocks, so any ideas, I may do some aftermarket spring first, i dunno:confused:

I rides even better now. hell and the ranchos are still set on all the way stiff:waytogo::grin::pimp:

me so happy, hopefully I blow my driveline this week so I will be motivated to do the t-case and new shafts asap ..j/k..and thats a great reason to do new headers and re-route the system to clear everything

one bummer..I may need to switch to a smaller tank or move mine back a couple inches, it looks like the t-case will just clear though Im going to crawl under some factory 4x4s with my same gas tank and see whats up.

is it the pictures or is the rear axle not centered in the wheelwells? looks pushed forward.

Yeah it went a little forward when we did the shackle flip. It needs to be moved back maybe an inch to center it, but I think it's pushing it with the stock driveshaft length :eek1: as it is. I'm awaiting the call this week that we're doing the t-case. :haha:
