Ahhhhh the smell of progress
Finally got my tires and wheels in my hands today, ended up getting 5 tires, runflats and wheels for 525.00
Also ordered up my steering parts from Trevor at WFO Concepts, must be the 7th or so time I have used him for a cross over set up, great guy and prices
Ordered a 2 inch forged steering arm and a pitman arm. He also let me in on some oddball info.. since my axle is not a high pinion he said Id have hell getting the caster right, and good pinion angle with out rotating the c's
He then asked if it by chance came out of a van... sure did.. turns out people doing these conversions used chevy axles and retubed them as they were easier to find than the ford axles!
I have not tore the axle apart to see if he is correct but by the looks of where welds were on the c's I think he sure is.
I was also able to get a decent pinion angle and 5 degrees caster.. I am a happy camper
Currently trying to decide what to do about my fuel line, dealer wants 190.00 for them
If I cant find some that will leave me dealing with it while trying to do all the swapping rather than just clipping a factory one in.. could do steel braided, the factory plus a repair section from napa.. combination of both or bite the bullet.. if I get hosed during the swap by chance though it is 2-3 days to get the line here.. hmmm might have to just pay up
Got the rest of the brackets cut off, this weekend I hope to have the steering on and the welds done.
wild cards left are shocks, driveline and whether or not I will need a panhard bar.
Hmmm trying out the new tires... 37's stock!
