The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

Seems like you broke less **** with the 40's. However you do like to keep rebuilding the thing.

True, although sfter going full chromo and 35 spline with a welded front its been stupid reliable compared to before:D

My golden rule is thou shall not neutral drop:haha:

I am serious about adding more power, 6.0 in 4low has always been fun, but imagine 40-50 percent mo powwwa:thinking:

next mud bog is on the 10th, also the mini trucks due date for them to be finished is the last mud bog of the season, august 4th or something.

We just got hooked up on some air shocks for mini truck number 2 so progress is in the air:thumb:

So uhm...how are you going to keep the trans together with 50% more powwa?

No idea bu ill be damned if it does no sound fun:D

Pulled the truck out and started on the repairs, went to the dealer for new head light mounting panels, pins, clips and a new shifter cable. I sadly broke the end off it again but that could be related to how many times it has needed to be taken on and off with all the trans installs:doah: Also some how the door latch went to hell and came apart, the screw driver in a last ditch attempt sure didnt help much too. Pricy damn day at the dealer.

New Deaver spring is installed, and I have decided to lower the truck and somehow by friday make or modify my rear hangers and rework the rear wheel wells to fit a 44:confused::weld::grind::hack: Right now the rear shackle is flipped, so going back to the stock location will put the axle back where it belongs, lower me 4-5 inches and make me happy.

To add to the to do list I ordered up a new drag link for the 06 from Trevor at WFO Concepts, I had swapped the one off the 07 to the 06 being I needed one shorter but now I have a hell of a crappy and steep drag link on the 07. Plan is to go back to a straight one on the 06.

Also I have been wanting to regear and a fair deal fell in my lap. Newer 14 bolt with new 4.88 gears and a govlock. I have been looking at regearing already so the timing is perfect for the 06.

So.. with that, ill swap the gears and sell the disk brakes and e-brake set up to someone who wants to convert and then chop the axle up as my choice to build a 14 bolt front for the buggy. :thumb: Yay.

Wish I would have seen/known about that sooner.

I have the one from ballistic on the way.

So far the build is..

-New ribbed 14 bolt from a 2006 hd
-Balistic cover and shave kit
-Solid axle ind Inner C's and keyed knuckles
-Foote/superior Inner chromo shaft blanks resplined By Dutchman Axles
-Reworking/massaging the Artec 60 truss with ram mount
-Artec highsteer and double sheer arms and full hydro tie rod kit
-PSC 2.5 doubled ended full hydro
-turned 4.56 gear
-poly performance flanges/or spicer hubs I need to get broached.

Brakes are in the air but I hope to do something special. I decided to stick with the standard 60 measurements in case in the future I wanted to convert back to SRW hubs and ditch the h1 wheels.

I need to cut the passenger side and add about 3 inches to the drivers side tube. The housing tube od is 3.5 inches, walls are 3/8. Going to get a piece of tube to sleeve the inside with and turn it on a lathe till its press fit.

Working with Andrew at Letzroll offroad for the machine work and for ordering the C's, knuckles, shafts, cover and steering.

Ok I am off to walmart to guy buy some more condoms so I do not knock a girl up and have triplets or something that would bankrupt this build:pimp:

Just about ready to load up and play tonight:D

Flipped the rear shackle back to stock and made new hangers, the deaver replacement main leaf is installed, used a 2 inch spacer and flared the bed side, tail lights work again, new head lights, head light support, new brake line, bled them, and a few other things. Hell even tossed on a tail gate!

Tonight is a a truck pull as well, I hope the new hight and shackle changes work in my favor.

Still need to go weld on a new trailer tongue hitch and a hitch for the 06, off to go play in the sun.

Friend has the balistic shave, looks pretty good and he said it went on fairly easy. His started leaking out the diff cover where they weld the pieces together though.

Bogs went well, ill post some vids later.

For now..

What does a pissed off ex employee and a D-9 dozer do to a rock crushing site and a chevy..?

My brother is not going to be happy $$$$$.. on the flip side I may get a cheap parts truck.

My dad is on the way out there right now and ill see if he is in the mood to send some pics.

That's your brothers truck? Thats ridiculous. I'd be livid if I were him. How did he get his hands on the truck anyway?

Its his company, someone "guessing an ex employee" went on a rampage with a dozer.

Took out equipment, a water truck, conveyer equipment, broke into the control room, beat the tar out of at least that truck and a gen trailer too. My dad said that truck is trashed and the flat bed came apart even!

They are considering a reward so hopefully he gets rated out.

Crazy:popcorn:

That looks like some serious jail time for somebody. On the plus side it looks like you can get some really cheap center caps. That would only help if you were running stock wheels though.

Got the truck all cleaned up, has a shift solenoid b code and seems down on power:dunno:

Found a donation only car wash.. best 40.00 ever:D

$40?! should have slip them a $5. No im just messing with you, thats a hell of a bargan. They have a detail place here in town, it says any size vehicle, wash and detail $18 and i had a coupon for $5 off. I took my blazer in there looking like that and they said they dont need the business that bad... weird

So I always have my ear out for a d-max and have a few feelers out there, mainly I have been looking got a a wrecked one with low decent miles for under or at 5k.

Well today I had to install some equipment in new trucks for a customer and there old ones were sitting there.

Truck is a 4x4-d-max, 07 classic long bed.

But 216k

Looking for advice here.

The price is going to be somewhere between 8500 to 10k, they already have some offers but the place treats me pretty well and they know I have asked them about trucks before.

Not sure what to do about my 06, I could swap a clean bed on it and sell it, or make her a pretty pavement pounder and back up truck.

With 37's the 06 does not like life towing and is a bit sluggish. I do have new 488 gears for it but they are not installed so its hard for me to say the truck would make me content afterwards.

D-max would be nice, just concerned with a sweet deal going sour with the cost of future repairs.

??????????
