The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

orr, sell the diesel to me, cuz you really don't want another truck..

Sure thing, blue book even for just fair condition is 19k, let me know when you want it..

I should have it in good or great condition after I replace the door dinged up door and the seat is recovered.. so.. lets settle on 21k :deal:

Ever thought of a gooseneck to pull behind the dmax?

My buddy has pretty much the same truck but with a 4" lift and 35's and he doesn't have problems with the rear squatting, and his trailer is 7-8k by itself

With a utility bed the good neck is not a very attractive option sadly.

Mine went down a ton:dunno:

And this isnt just a simple case of too far forward on the trailer? It seems to me that there should be something like 500 pounds of tong weight with the trailer "loaded properly" right? 500 pounds is certainly not enough to make it squat that bad. Or am i missing it and there is more to the picture then simply backing the truck up about 8" on the trailer?

You are correct, but with a heavy trailer and a 7k truck its more like a 1000 lbs.

I have two places on the trailer I load the truck up, one is with the rear tires against the fenders and the other is the desired location for tongue weight and it caused the back of the truck to hang off the trailer a bit.

This pic of the 06 is with out bags in the rear as well as even at ride hight the truck is already 1-2 lower than the front "aftermarket springs"

I hope I can have a better set up with the d-max but I like the length of the trailer, the steel deck and the 102" width.. so I am stuck with the loading issue.

Well lucky for me I dont have to blackmail him for a new 44" tire, we got it to hold air this afternoon. I just hope it does not start coming off easier.

Next mud bog is next weekend.. going to give a couple trans shops a call tomorrow and tues and see what I can line up as well as getting some new chromo shafts and a super joint for the front left.

Well not taking the 07 to the mud bog, I just could not see killing myself and hoping a trans would be done in time...so taking the 06:haha:

Swapped the utility bed off and I hate myself for welding the bumper and bed brackets on:angry1::angry1::shame:

The duramax sure does not look to shaby with it on but the rear went down a few inches:eek1: Should ride nice now but towing is going to suck till I have time to get the bags on.

I love the way the wheel and tire combo look now:woot:
