The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

You need to go to Cognito and beef the front of that truck up. Upper control arms with bolt in ball joints, HD tie rods and pitman and idler arm braces will be much more "Shawn resistant" than stock parts

Was looking at their stuff lt night, I want to see how much all the nice upgrades will run then at least consider a solid axle. The last couple trucks, as well as this one have surly impressed me though in terms of limited ifs failures, and I've been beating the tar out of it.

I kind of feel having the stock tie rods has kept me somewhat behaving though, every time I drive it over a small boulder, wash, climb etc my butt cheeks pinch the seat and I'm very light on the throttle:D

It's like handing a Navy Diver or SeAL something "indestructible" in a rubber room, let either one play with it for a while and they'll hand you the pieces back.

***This is Andrew under Russell's account, I can't post pics yet***

Use the evolution machine TRE's and Ball sockets and some custom built tie rods if your gonna build the IFS up... it's beefy. These are from my ranger.

Can you say progress:D Ill post up some more detail later

water proof relays, remote terminal strips, room for growth and easy to wire to it.. all I have to do is run the trigger wire from my switch panel, and then the power from the other terminal strip to the actual item.:pimp:

Still need to label the fuse strip that replaced the bulky blue sea systems one.

What's the part number and pigtail your using on your relays?

This is the guy I used, I found him on a referral from a local shop and was blown away, highly recommend him!

After seeing his work I made the wiring of this panel and assembling those relays his problem :pimp:

Last night I spent just a couple hours and the whole buggy is now laid out, next up is heading to him for all my weatherpak needs, sleeveing etc. excited!

while sitting in the buggy last night and planning my electronics I was using my Ipad to search for the dimensions of the Lawrance 540 gps I was planning to install.

I had the ipad resting above the switches on the dash and thought.. wait a minute.. how cool would it be to just use an ipad rather than an ipod for tunes.. maps, gps, have my wiring diagrams, engine pin outs, the torq app as a scanner... :eek1:

but alas... no external memory or built in GPS on the ipad... but the Acer200 has it:pimp:

picked one up, now... how the hell do I mount this:doah: I think I want it to be adjustable, removable, strong... anyone know of a heavy duty tablet mount with first hand experience of it:confused:

in off-road this month there is a desert yota that uses his ipad for a comm setup.
he has some app that he uses thats basically a google maps, but it shows a lot of dirt trails and offroad roads. i'll try and find the name of it tonight maybe you can check it out.
