Brent and I wrapped up my work at his place with my buggy.
Front axle rebuilt
Trans rebuilt and beefed
Trans mount upgraded and BEEF
Buggy belly upgraded and BEEF
fixed and reworked the radiator mount
retubed and notched the engine brace from the alternator
Trans shifter cable..finally fixed and replaced
Tube added behind my head for extra roll protection
Motor mount fixed
Chassis cracks fixed
drive shafts have new hardware and u joints
New front brakes and bleed
Anti submarine belt tabs added
Starter Replaced
Ori and replacement bolted in.
Reddog really helped me a lot and kept the motivation going. Fired it up today and made it all worth it.
This after noon after getting new wheels on the rubicon for the gf went to letzroll offroad to drop the buggy.
Rear arb, gears, and all bearing are shot to hell.
Then this late afternoon hauled Joe's buggy out to give it a little testing before he takes it to the back door shoot out too.
4493 showed up after for some drag races down the whoops.

He's lazy in spurts and then incredibly productive for like a few weeks at a time and then he hibernates again.

I am amazed how they keep changing the dates of KOH every year so you have no idea when it will be so the cars are never ready..............................................

so today took a turn for the worst, the other day I noticed my new transmission was leaking.
the leak bad enough after test drive that I reluctantly decided to pull the transmission out as soon as I got in there I realized it wasn't the seal in between the transmission and transfer case.
but rather the transmission case that I got for a core has a crack in it. the one thing I've learned about myself is I hate breaking transmissions and I really hate breaking transmission cases and I really really really hate the smell transmission fluid now.
got on the phone with my transmission guy and lined up a reid case tonight and the matching bell housing for a turbo 400. Got it and dropping it off at 7 a.m ..
Crash test dummy looks bummed but still laid back about it.
sometimes I'm not even sure how I feel about this hobby.
I could have some really really nice vacations seems like almost monthly for what this nonsense cost. I can't wait to drive the willys at Easter jeep. Cheap and simple.

Yep. You gotta watch out. Lots of folks burn out on it because they get in too deep. Some folks thrive on it tho. Just have to find your balance.

OUCH! Just looked up what one of those cases cost! You have more intestinal fortitude than I do to drop that kind of money! The good side is that you should simply never have a problem with that case.
