The "under destruction builds" supersize75k5 's driveway of despair and repair

Oh **** son. It's popping off.

Can you do a rundown of all the current rigs in their current states with their current plans?
I feel like we need a running summary of what your doing with what rigs cuz they change so much.

**** I'm still waiting to see what happens with those goofy mini truck Chinese cab over minivan things from like a year or two ago.

lol

09 duramax.. badly needs the sas still, I have the parts, just have not started.

06 silverado..work truck

44 willys, tracker motor, sami frame, yota axles. next up is a new transfercase mount and shifters and wiring the rear e locker. The next phase of the build is leading towards a all aluminum Camaro 3.6/stand alone 4l65/dana 300 with 4:1. I just recently scored the geared and upgraded dana 300. During these changes the wheelbase will be changed from 80" to 86" with a new custom hood and frame changed being made. I may turbo the 1.6 tracker motor to try to put this off and play with a turbo for the first time.

75 blazer, combining a friends blazer, mine, and a 75 I picked up. jumping on this hopefully soon, next step is a tbi motor swap and fuel system.

kore 4 seater...sold

jimmys 2 seater ... About to be started!

Neighbors 65 chevy big window short bed step side. doing a complete build, 5.3, 4l60, 12 bolt. 73+ front suspension with conversion rotors to go back to six lug, air ride, factory looking wider wheels, interior, vintage air ac, rust repair, paint bla bla. currently the frame is getting powdercoated.

Bens 82 chevy, jumped on his build to help him complete the truck, 6.0/4l60/241/4 link front, frame work, ac, bla bla bla big awesome build! You can see his "babanoush" build thread here on ck5.

Nice choice on the Jimmy's Chassis:waytogo:

A good friend of mine has one for Ultra 4. The thing is unstoppable.

I still have that but have moved the focus of it to a more niche market. The projects I do on the side seem to be growing;)

I'm just here for my annual check-in.....

YEP! Shawn's still a crazy man! :haha:

so much going on in little ol supersize75k5 world that my head isn't just spinning but it seems disconnected:pimp:

First up..

sold the 4 seater chassis and seats. I realized I used the buggy just a 3 or 4 times in the last 2 years:eek1:

So I figured I would loose my ass if I sold it as is or parted it out, so why not double down and spend more money and time:dunno: I dunno, but my logic was to double down rather then sell out.

So two options, 1. Campbell enterprises 30 pack. This was actually my first pick but I had a change of heart, mainly due to the cnc and laser capabilities of Jimmys 4x4 and their proven success in Ultra 4..did I mention I want to race ultra 4:D

Ended up ordering a Bloodline Jimmys chassis with the full interior kit, all brackets, a 2015 JKU fiberglass body front, seats, fuel cell, radiator etc.

Chassis is 54" wide inside so it should be comfy.

My lq9 has a spun bearing so I also picked up another motor. Not sure if Ill get crazy right away but a cam kit is at least in the early plans.

Trans is a built up Reid racing case 400, I am adding a aftermarket lower gear set to help out of the hole.

Went up to Colorado a couple weeks later with my buddy while he picked his up and grabbed it.

Im currently thinking about a vintage racing theme, such as brittish racing green or a solid maroon with wood grain airbrush work in side and vintage racing style numbers. I dunno, I stumble with design.

Speaking of racing, I've been traveling to a few with my biddies over at letzroll.

This last race i couldn't show up empty handed with out a race car so I decided to just rent one for glen helen.. we spiffed it up a tad secretly at the shop prior to leaving for ca and meeting up with them:pimp:

Also keeping up on the other projects

picked up a 5.3 for the 65 and the frame is back from powdercoat. Dropped off the engine brackets and parts for a good coating too. I've learned even if i dont need it coated..the time I save from not cleaning the parts is awesome !

Bens truck, for those paying attention in his thread is moving along too:thumb: This weeks goal is the fuel system and next week is electrical, wire and fire!

Not to be forgotten, this week ill be starting to get ready for blazer bash.

I picked up a beefy mount for the t case from zukes of arizona as well as a 6.5 geared t case to replace my 4.16 case. Sadly my motor ha a rod knock and oil in it so ..not sure what that means long term but I don't have time to do a v6 swap. I dunno, if I get dumb I could borrow an ls from the project bin being all the parts are here but that sounds crazy.:dunno::popcorn: I really want the new 3.6 in the camaro. 320 hp aluminum v6burnout But alas..I lack the time.

I like rental treatment! :) I can't imagine how you drive a rental knowing how you drive your own stuff.

What is the frame?

Today was nice, first day on the buggy build.

Loaded up the trailer with my axles, motor, trans and t case and headed over to the shop.

Was able to get the drivetrain mounted, set the wheel base, ride height and figured out the plan for link placement.

Next couple weeks, link mounts will get all knocked out, might make new aluminum ones just to be fresh and shiny.

By next the next weekend should be able to get drive shafts made, I'm now a dealer for Phoenix rack and axle so that will be nice:pimp:

Still haven't decided on tires yet, per my class I have to be 37 max and a dot. Im currently thinking Pitbulls or Nitto.

Waiting on a lot of parts to come in but progress should pick up.
