The Willomet Charger

A desecration to Mopar nuts everywhere, this is my protouring, LS-powered, 1970 Dodge Charger; built at my shop, Willomet Motor & Fabrication.
Hell even half of the hardcore Mopar guys will probably just think it's a late model 6.4 swap (or something of the nature)

With that said. I think I would keep the engine devoid of gm/ Chevy markings... Just to keep them confused...

I've thought hard about that, and I agree with you. Coil relocation and plain valve covers should help, too.

And I'm taking a note from @mrk5's Angry Duck 454 and putting my own brand on it - Willomet 409.

Spit. I'll bet on spit. And some sort of seizure.

Should be fun to watch the first guy to walk up listening to it running with the hood closed talkin' smack about "mopar muscle" just to see a chebby under the hood.

Of course GM engines have been swapped into just about everything these days, so anybody walking up on a restored 'anything' should know to keep quiet until they see whats under the hood. :surepal:

Pretty much 90% of the fox body Mustangs at the drags run LS engines...it's just no big deal anymore.

If you're a fan of Roadkill you know about Finnegan's 55 Chevy gasser with the injected 528" hemi. Blasphemi...

A old school Hemi in anything isn't surprising...coming in at a close 2nd...I guess the same could be said for Chevy engines.

Lunch run for rocker steel. 4x3x.120

This is pretty much my last weekend for Charger work before I have to prep the truck for our summer road trip and get our hiking gear squared away, so I'm going to make the most of it.

It will be July before I'm back in the shop, and by then I'll be deep into BB17 prep.

Any updates for this?
It's diligently collecting all the airborne particles from my hood louver project, which itself has become a skill building exercise for the eventual body work on the Charger.

I did figure out how I'm going to build out the rockers, but that task will wait until after Moab. Going into our Colorado hiking trip and prepping for BB18, I knew the Dodge would have to wait until the fall for the next round of progress.

Hello, darlin'.

Took a little bit to remember where I left off. Rocker fab and the associated prep. Pinch welds are not what I'm going for in the chassis, and this frame tie in is getting an upgrade.

You can see where the sectioned box tube will fit to the existing rocker.

Welded, blended.
