Thinking about the Atlas 5.0:1

The thing is I want a shorter rear driveline, maybe the doubler would be better in my situation since I want to keep my wheel base where it is at.....

It makes the rear angle worse.

np, swap in some 56s and push the rear axle back. :thumb:

And if your into it that far then you should have a high pinion front end for angle.

Im sure I will someday. If ya send me some $$$ I'll order one right now! :thumb:

There is more than 1 reason Atlas is the #1 T-case for competition.

I doubt it will be much longer. Things like the Lovell 357 are going to change things. Shift on the fly is prolly gonna be the future of t-cases in comps.

Lovell 357 :dunno:

I've got a 2.7 Klune to a twin sticked 205 and couldn't be happier. Going down normal trails and when I need wheel speed I keep it in 205 low. On more technical stuff I slap it in double low. I wouldn't like having just double low, yea the tranny will shift but having other options is better in my mind.

Unless the only type of trail you do is really technical rocks, I personally think that the 5:1 low range is just too low for any other types of trails. Assuming this was with an auto trans, even with the trans in 3rd gear you still wouldn't have a lot of wheel speed. I know I use 2nd and 3rd gear low range (700r4, 241 case, 4.10 axles, 38's) a lot on easy parts of the trail between obstacles, and really don't want to stop and put the t-case in high range.
