REEEEEPOOOOSSSTTTTT! /forums/images/graemlins/rotfl.gif

If you search over on pbb you can find the link to the forums where the guys that did it all actually posted the origional post. It shows tons of pics and there is video of the jeep trying to cross the river and it getting swept away with the people in it, getting out, and swimming to another truck. It's crazy /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

repost??? /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif so what, I kind of figured someone had seen this before but lots haven't I'm sure!

Why did it sink in so deep?

[/ QUOTE ]

I think it was out there for a number of months before it could be sucessfully recovered.

Another reason I've shyed away from the mud/water scene

I dont think anyone has drowned on flatrock, or been frozen to death by a boulder, when is the last time you heard of a trail sweeping somewone downtrail?

That's pretty bad, but the jeep came out better than I would have expected

People roll over on the rocks. Sometimes repeatedly.

No matter what kind of fourwheeling you do, it can potentially be dangerous.

hehe A crane??? It's only a Jeep for God's sake!!! /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif /forums/images/graemlins/histerical.gif

Good for them though. Takes a lot of where with all to do all that work to help a buddy out.

Good luck to y'all in the future.

if you search for awhile on PBB... you can find a video of a jeep getting carried down river.. i dunno if its the same one..

I'm suprised insurer didn't want it for salvage. They don't usually just leave stuff /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Didn't I just say that?

About the insurance, if you search pbb and find the origional link to the origional thread you will read that the insurance did want it, thats why they went back and got it. The guys stripped some good parts off of it then had it put on a flat bed and taken to the insurance company.

I'm not arguing the dange point, more of the pain in the ass point. You don't need to drain diffs and change fluid or tromp around in two feet of liquid [darn] to get off of a rock

I love mud, but I really don't want to hydrolock my engine or bust up a gearset by a dunking, and I definately don't want to sink a truck as big as mine into mud it can;t get out of and tear it to bits while it gets yanked out

I'm sure I'll roll eventually, but for now I think the most damage I'll get is a flop or two

I need to order a cage.....

no towing company would go get thats why Im building my tk is to go fetch the oops like this and get paid good money for it... Jim creek and the surounding area is fun to go play but can get downright dangerous the river moves around out there all the time one week a section might be under water next week its a big sand bar 200 ft long so the trails dont stay the same ever.. /forums/images/graemlins/crewcab.gif /forums/images/graemlins/hack.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grind.gif /forums/images/graemlins/weld.gif
