Time for a new project, been a loooong time

Anything new?

Get those last details finished up?

More pics maybe...:smirk:

Yea, more updates. Especially any pictures related to what's in your username.:D I'm in the market for a new motor and I can't seem to shake the thoughts of a BBC.

My user name actually refers to my pickup that has a big block in it.

It's funny you ask though, here are some pics of the next project. Not a lot of details yet, I'll start a new thread soon for this project.

The rear seat is big enough for an adult to sit in but the rear bar is kind of close so it wouldn't be good for off road. On the street with seat belts on it's just fine, there is a little more legroom that you'd think. The middle row has plenty of room for an adult and is quite comfortable, my wife sits there quite often (kids like to sit in the front).

Hopefully it'll warm up soon so I can take the top off for more pictures. It was supposed to get up to 45* today but it hasn't even hit 30 yet. :(

Just found this from you link on Pirate.

WOW!!!!!!!!! That is the sweetest dash I've ever seen.

Thanks for posting. Just to let you know, I might steal some ideas.

Make you cry! HA.

Only if you ask dumb questions and act all "e" tough. Your build......I wouldn't worry.

I'll try and find that link again. There was a thread that someone asked a question and someone linked this thread. Since I'm also a member here, I thought I would give credit where credit is due.:D

I used CJ style heater cables and fan switch, they are mounted in the upper left corner of the center panel in the dash. Easy and cheap to get and install.

It finally warmed up enough to take the top off so I can get some decent pictures. It's a little dusty from the quick trip to Moab on Saturday.

Very nice! The paint really looks great in the photos and that cage is something else!

That is very sweet. Mine is the same color as yours.

I probably missed this somewhere, but how do you drive it with no clutch pedal? ;)

I really like how you tied the dash into the cage too.

Time for a new project

Decided to ditch the big block for now and instead go with a 6.0l out of a '05 2500HD.
The motor will be pretty much stock, I only changed the cam and valve springs. With headers this motor should make close to 400 horse, but that just isn't good enough so.....

Boost is always better!!!!! I dug out the Whipple I bought a couple of years ago to put on the 454 that was going to go in. I spent a few hours with some aluminum plate and the tig and came up with the mounting bracket.

I made up some motor mount plates for the block. These are pretty simple to build because the insulator will be in the crossmember similar to what DIY sells. Add a couple of speed holes for fun and good looks, a little welding and grind and presto whammo.
