time to buy a welder

thats canadian prices though.

Alan, I'd rather burn through, than worry if my bumpers/cage/ etc will hold because I didn't have enough penetration. And even the bigger welders "say" they can weld down to 22 gage steel. So if I can get it somewhere around there, I wont have burn through.
 
thanks for the responses...i wont be welding anyhting too thick, mostly just working on the truck, and fixing the trucks for my dads company. my dad is trying to get me to buy something so i can wled up I beams and stuff liek that for buildings, i told him to buy it if thats what he wants. i can weld pretty thick with an arc welder, im really just looking for somwthing to make bumpers, rollcage, fixing cracks on parts and thgings liek that /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
