did oil change, air filter, rotate tires, grease, check fluids etc on the 2 vehicles we drive most. So while doing the tire rotation on the wife's 2006 Pontiac G6 4 door, I pull the first wheel off and get ready to roll it to the back and I see a hunk of metal in the bottom of the rim. It is a broken piece, so I lay the rim face down and see cracks around all the lug holes going toward the outside. Hmm well I know we smacked one against a curb so maybe I broke it then. I look at the next one same type of cracks. All 4 are this way.

I look at the design of the mounting surface of the rim and there is a 1/16 or so void area around each lug hole and the part that actually contacts the rim is between 1/4 and 1/2 inch from the lug hole. The lugs are the tapered style and it looks like from the repeated loosening and tightening it caused all 4 of them to crack.

Car just turned 100,000 so no warranty or anything, off to look for new rims tomorrow.:doah:

any suggestions on where to get em, what to look for in style, make, material etc. :popcorn:

Car is silver in color with a black bra if that helps.

15x10 steel wheels black daytona style lol. id stick with a aluminim wheel and something in black would look good i think on a silver car. prolly like a spoked wheel or something but thats my $.02

Easy. H2's since they're 17" rims. :doah::haha:

4" of lift will easily clear 33's, I ran 35's with my 4" lift, then added a zero rate and moved the front axle 1" forward and went to 37's. No problem with rubbing so far!

I think you missed the humor. Reread the first post...

I'll take a vote for the first pic, but where are the beadlocks :popcorn:

Wife liked the 2nd ones better, so that is what we bought. Hopefully get them mounted Monday. then I will post pics before and after but more importantly the cracks in the rims. Nasty!!!
