Tired of junk production car haulers/ equipment trailers- this is a build

Its going to sit up like that for now, can't drag but I would like to have a way to flip it down. As it sits I can take out 2 bolts and put it down flush with the rail if I'm loading a car, etc. not perfect though.

I was thinking a springed hinge that would allow you to fold it back if needed. Just a thought because I know it will become a hassle at some point :D

Find a plate mount of of a 70s something that had fuel filler behind the plate

The problem is that it would need to be able to swing both ways.

Had a few people asking about how much I have in it. Here is the rough break down, I rounded up so probably on the high side

parts-1777
steel-852
wood-109
screws-25
paint-60
gas-115
wire-40
cut off wheels-25
misc bolts/harware- 25

total-3028

Seems high but there are a lot of add ons you wouldn't have to get in building one, plus I wanted all brand new steel. If you got used or free steel would cut down on the price a lot. I think a trailer that is comparable to this one (pj buggy hauler) is closer to 5k new. So I'm happy with the outcome and I learned a lot, its been a fun project.

I paid 4200 for mine plus tax.
quite a few add ons on mine that would take it up to 5k or better. Led lighting, bull dog coupler, side crank 8k jack, full width, drive over fenders, 8 5/8s d rings, spare tire and wheel, drop axles (add 200 a axle) 14 stake pockets and 3/8s rub rail. Almost all these are add ons for most trailer. I actually built one last night similar on pac west trailer and it was over 7k before taxes. And my above price includes tax, titling and tag.

trailer is done and ready other than inspection. hit the scales, 2820 with heavy a$$ ramps I got on it right now. I was shooting for 250 so I was pretty close.

You get it inspected yet? Only two days left.......Let me guess, your planning on doing it on the way down Friday?
