Tires on my k5

Ok the input the tires is very helpful, thanks again. Hopefully going to look at some used BFG all terrains this wknd. I'm also gonna try some balancing beads has anyone had any experience with these?

Found some used BFG all terrains in good condition with 90% tread guy mounted them and put new valve stems in for $600. I put balancing beads in also and they work great so far no vibration on the highway

That sounds like a good deal. Hopefully the rubber is still nice and pliable. I think I was figuring almost 300 bucks per tire for new 35's. I haven't tried the beads either. My K5 is the first vehicle I have had with such a big tire, and I haven't had anything done to the tires or wheels, although I have to get new valve stems soon. My pickup runs 33" bfg At's on the back and they do well with just wheel weights.

Are the All terrains pretty quiet on the highway? My Maxxis mudders are noticeable, but I'll bet if I go with all terrains it will seem much quieter. Since I drive mostly on pavement, it will be nice to switch to something better rated for that type of driving and better wearing along with less noise. I kind of envy you now.
