TIRES.... whats best. (quick gears question)

Probably haha. Hell, just us ck5ers probably got ‘em for a 12k loss if they honor the price !
I''m sure it does. There was a similar thing years back IIRC for BFG 33's on another forum for like $50 - $75 ea and I bought like 10-12 tires lol. They cancelled all the orders and gave a coupon for $100 as a thanks for pointing out the mistake. Dohhh.

I have these with my 40" Toyo's for the Burb Part # MR10179080312B

expensive but they are pretty damn nice I have 4 seats of Mehtod wheels and they are on par with Welds of the old days.
Methods are good stuff. I've picked up many of them in the desert races and I was impressed with what it took for them to reach a failure point. Method will be my next set when I have the scratch.

I knew they'd catch it sooner or later.
Beings it's $300 for them steelies, $500 for the methods ain't that bad.
Ever broke one or bashed a bead enough to cause an issue?

Full Disclosure, Mine have not hit dirt yet .

But they are uber popular with the Jeep Fags up here , my buddy sells them and he has had zero failures . He has replaced rings but only for cosmetic reasons. I'd venture he has a 50+ sets out there being wheeled very hard.

Alot of people assume we only have mud , but truth is our wheeling is alot like what you would see in Tellico . Big rocks covered in mud , roots deep ruts , ect.

Lots of HARD Side impacts .

I wouldn't sway you away from the Allieds they are an awesome wheel . Check out Raceline as well they make some bad ass wheels.

Seen the racelines. Been basically just kind of bouncing between.

One thing I like about some of the aluminum wheels is there no lip behind the locker to catch snow and mud.
The simulated beadlocks I have now have that exact lip and I've had some balance issues on the way back from wheeling trips already.

Doesn't look like I'd have that issue with some of the aluminum styles. May be worth the extra cash since most of my wheeling around here is snow/mud.

I have seen some guys use the foam inserts that the dirt track guys use to keep the mud out of the steel beadlocks , not sure how wheel it actually works but you could consider it.

To me Aluminum is nice for the weight savings ( mostly for my back lol) but unsprung weight is the best spot to go on a diet .

For the most part, my lack of wheeling is being a lone truck, and having the family with. Trying to get my truck out myself with all of them along and maybe failing gets me. So we don't go unless it's easy wheeling. Which is getting boring.
Now that I'm better than ever financially, I want to build something that I know is going to get us there and home.
Hence big meaty tires, recent winch purchase, and a newer tow rig I can trust to take me, the family, and our giant toy where ever we want to wheel at.

Now if I get beadlocks on top of it, I'll be able to air down for once and be even harder to stop on the trail.

I had a set of them gate keepers all the way through checkout to payment last night, and held back lol. I just made $2900 working over Christmas, so I'll buy em the next paycheck I guess.

I had looked at those a while back. Dad used to cut his own a long time ago out of seat foam.

The issue I could see is, nobody wants to see an old fat man like me chasing one down, after the branch has flicked it out of the wheel and down a hill.

Mine show they have shipped. Due January 4th.

"This delivery consists of 5 packages that will arrive together."

I guess they did not have a box big enough for all of them at once.:haha:
Same here except 10. Almost 1000 lbs of tires.
Amazon driver is getting a workout that day.

Over a 1000 I believe... Think I seen these were like 111# a tire.

I looked at the actual manufacturer part number on my order, and it is the X-MTs.

I'll have 9 on the 4th. Amazon driver will hate us all lol.

My shipping has changed, now it says 5 of them will be here Friday the 30th.
I do not see anything about signature required but I'm going to try to have someone here to receive them.
Where does is state signature required at?
