Okay, here it is again!! The (official) re-release of the GM K-Series Winch Cradle! Designed for up to 10,000lb winches, and they must be of the "non-integrated" design, i.e. no integrated solenoids above the winch cable drum :) Super tight fitting, this cradle tucks the winch up under the radiator support and has greater clearance than even the factory bumper!

Clocked the winch and tweaked the handle to clear. Pretty tight up in there I like it. Going to trim off the fangs this week. Super tight and low profile over all. Thumbs up

Looks great man! Thanks for posting up the pics!

-Darren

Are you going to be making the "wings" you had been working on before? Also, I may have missed where you said it earlier, but what thickness is the metal you're using for the cradles?

Yes, I have some plate cut up for the side "wings" again, but haven't had a chance to finish any up yet. My shop computer decided to go belly-up over the weekend, and I'm just now getting the new one set back up. I'll be spending the day tomorrow at the shop, but I'm out of town on Friday. I'll post up if I get any made tomorrow :)

-Darren

Oh, the main winch cradle is all 1/4" steel, and the side wings are a mix of 1/4" and 3/16"

Sweet. Thanks! Looking forward to some more pics. Thinking seriously on pulling the trigger on one of these.

Winch Cradles are back in stock!

-Darren

P.S. - Side "Wings" in process....

Winch Cradle "Wings"

Hey All!
I got a couple sets of the winch cradle "Side Wings" cut out today, and one welded together for you to see...

Remember, these REQUIRE that the front fender "fangs" be trimmed off flush with the bottom of the radiator support in order to run them. I'll try to find some installed pics for you to see if I can in the near future.

If I can figure out how to PM you, I'm going to send you something too. Obviously I'm not too bright, but I'll get there

Hey Guys... I made up another small batch of the winch cradles today, and picked up a couple sheets of 3/16" for the side wings too. I'll be out of town for the next two days, but I'll be back on Friday (I think).

-Darren

Just curious, but do you offer a weld-it-yourself kit?

X2?

Do you have different mounting options for winches that are suppose to be mounted feet-forward?

Also, does anyone have any side profile pics showing how far it stick out from the body/grille?

Looks really good. What winch do you have?
sorry I missed this. it is a smittybilt 10k.
one thing I noticed with my install is a lot of winches designed to have the solenoid box mounted on top wont fit. I pulled my control box up onto the firewall and used some battery cable I had to extend the needed wiring. worked for me and is up out of the way.

you can see where I mounted it here

on this one you can see where I trimmed the grill and mounted the box and the grill secured.
Darren, what is the height of the face of the side wing. got my LED pods and need to make sure i'll be able to cut the hole where I want it.
