TnA (Totally Naked Auto) back in business!!

Darren, have you experimented fittment of some of your parts on Gen1 K5s? I like that gas tank skid you offer and curious about the Winch Cradle as well.

a T-case skid plate would be a nice offering too. not too complex, bolt on the crossmember type. (I know it's easy enough to fab at home, but the smooth cuts and nice round corners are better on a burn table.)

Hey man!
I have NOT been able to get a 1st Gen K5 at the shop for long enough to make parts/try fitment on one yet. I wish I had the money to buy one for the shop, because I love the body style, but it just isn't in the cards right now. I could send you some dimensions on the gas tank skid if you want to try and measure your truck to see how close it is, just PM me here if you decide you want to do that. As far as the winch cradle goes, I am pretty sure it won't work as a direct bolt-on to that body style, and measuring that one would be extremely difficult without a vehicle right here in my shop.

If a first gen is something you are interested in for mock up I could bring mine down sometime. One of the kids lives in Loveland so it might be a reason to take a trip.

Mine actually has a stock skid on it but I am sure yours would be much nicer! Be a good reason to get a new tank for it anyway.

Does it make my butt look big??

Nice Rig!! We could possibly work something out if you do come down sometime. That would be awesome for sure.
It might be hard to meet up, since I'm working days for another company, and trying to do this stuff in my spare time and on the weekends. But a weekend might work if we plan in advance :)

Will your engine cross member W/ Track Bar System, work with ORD High/Cross Over Steer system?
1988 K-5 Blazer

Darren,

Do you have any new products these days?

Mnstrburban showed me a picture of a transmission crossmember you built. I didn't see it anywhere on your website.

Hey Ed! That thing was built to 1) stabilize the bedsides since there was a ton of rust down at the bottom of it, and 2) create a spot that was a little bit structural for the rear tube of the roll cage I built to attach to.

Here's a shot of where the roll cage ended up down on that mount:

I don't have a ton of the stuff I can build up on the site - mainly because a lot of the stuff needs to be customized or has some weird thing about it that I need to talk to people about first. One of these days I'll try to get all the things organized a little better, put the finishing touches on some that need it, and get some more up on the site.

Might as well as... Any pics of the trans crossmember previously mentioned?

It's pretty basic:

Here it is compared to the stock crossmember:

You will probably have to re-route exhaust to use this one, but there is enough room to run it above the crossmember, rather than below it which is nice.

Darren
I should have my frt suspension pics that you asked for today.

Do you by chance have any pics with the track bar installed on a truck ?

Thanks

Darren, what kind of cost would you charge for that crossmember?
I want to tie it in with my NV4500
Joe

Darren, I was looking at your zero lift shackle flip, is that something you stock or if not what is the lead time on that item? 1986 K5 Blazer is the vehicle it will be used on.
Thanks

Josh,
I do not stock those on the shelf, they are build-to-order. Right now figure at least a week for fabrication time - I've been super busy lately.

Joe -
I think that would run you about $150 - there's a lot of steel in it and a good amount of welding to do.

-Darren

Darren, that is fair price, if I cant get my crossmember to look better I will give you a shout. I may need a shim on top, for the correct angle of 6.0 and NV 4500 I might need a little more height, but I can get exacts.
